There was not enough staff, we were waiting a long time at the bar and reception. Maybe it was mentioned when booking, but we didn’t realise there was no lift so was a struggle lifting our luggage and pram up the stairs. Not all the pool facilities were working when we were there, no hot tub. The American Diner had a limited menu and would not recommend.

Very bad start to my stay as there was no one at reception and no sign on the locked entrance to indicate this. Constant ringing the bell to no avail. Was waiting with another guest who eventually left saying they would come back later. As I have mobility issues I had no choice but to wait. Eventually someone turned up but, unfortunately, they were very defensive, and not only made no attempt to apologise but accused me of lying about how long I had been waiting. If I had not been exhausted after work, struggling to stay on my feet, I would have cancelled the booking. I did feel some sympathy for the member of staff when she explained that she was the only staff member on duty, and she had other tasks to perform around the hotel. This was around 6pm, a fairly normal check in time. To have only one member of staff on duty at that time of day is very poor management. I won’t be using this hotel again, or recommending it to anyone.

Having to go down stairs to the toilet they should be one on the floor where the bars are and only 1 lift is not good
