Excellent breakfast with hot and cold food, a variety of cold cuts, salads and fruit not to forget delicious Turkish cakes and biscuits. It was served on a floor which overlooked the city and even the sea. Spotless rooms cleaned daily and an attentive and really helpful staff who made me feel at home. The staff were the best at hospitality I have ever experienced!

I arrived late in the evening and when I got there, I was told that I would need to move to their sister hotel as there had been a mix up. It surprised me that they did not realise they had double booked until I arrived at around 10PM, especially as they had also supported airport pick up (so definitely knew I was arriving)

The hotel they moved me too was under renovation. To reach my room I needed to walk through a separate wing to the rest of the guests. It was untiled and there were dirty rags covering the floor to prevent the mess from being walked into the main hotel reception. It smelt quite damp in my room and there was a quite a gap under the door which allowed the damp smell to come in from the corridor. When I came out of my room in the morning someone was laying tiling in the corridor that I needed to walk through to leave the hotel. I didn't really have a chance to reject the move and request a refund, as it was late in the evening and I was travelling solo. I was very disappointed in my stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you don't have a lot of luggage and are willing to walk. It was very clean and the staff is very supportive, especially Mr. Moubarek. They clean the rooms perfectly, every day and the staff supports any request.

The location is good but not very convenient to get to Taksim Square or the closest bus station. It is not far in distance but not so convenient to walk considering the geographical relief of Istanbul (steepness).

I booked and payed for the hotel upfront. When my taxi reached the hotel i didn't dare to go out of the taxi. The hotel it is in the side street which was very scary, dirty and dodgy. I arrived after midnight and still i had to find a different hotel to stay.

Ahmet is a fantastic host. Very friendly and helpful. He also organized my transfers. The location is central in the old town. Definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Istanbul.

Soundproof windows would have been a relief at night. Bathroom is rather tiny.

The room was absolutely horrible, very small with basin in the bedroom.. the bed wasn’t a double but rather a large single which you can’t walk around as there is a wardrobe on the way
