  Lovely large bedroom in the Willows converted bungalow across the road. Tastefully decorated. Bed was superb, super king and so comfortable. Bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle. Very quiet and looked out over a field. Traditional pub with oak beams and open fire. Lovely atmosphere with good mix of guests and regulars. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality ingredients. We ate there in the evenings too. Above average pub grub, good sized portions in comfortable surroundings. All staff were friendly and attentive. A special mention for Gail who as well as running breakfast service took time to suggest places of interest to visit. Thank you

  Large airy rooms comfy beds and pillows.Nice towels . Great welcome at reception from Erin . Breakfast was excellent and again very friendly , helpful staff anything required was dealt with quickly with a smile . Only minor issue for us was after arrival we asked the barman for the bites menu it was 3.45 and we were told not available until 4.30 … but we could have nuts or chips …really .Also we were quite disappointed by the champagne list which was which was only one brand. Which wasn’t even on the wine list .

  The food was exceptional. Breakfast was included with the price of the room and there was a great selection. All freshly cooked by experienced chefs. Delicious food at dinner with a great selection, again freshly cooked. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the rooms were spacious and clean.

  Running out of superlatives having stayed there now for most of April. The accommodation is superb, perfectly clean. The combination microwave oven is great, easy work cooking Pizza etc.

  No shaver/electric toothbrush socket, so I took a plug that is easy enough.

  Location was good as attending funeral at the crematorium nearby. Evening meal was good value for money and friendly, welcoming staff.

  Terrible stench in the hallway upstairs to room (no.12) and we could smell it slightly in the room. Whether it was a water leak or even sewage it needs to be sorted out asap. Husband had to exit via the fire exit as he was wrenching so bad. Disappointed that there was no full breakfast only continental so we went elsewhere. Not enough towels in room and shower very dated. Rooms were huge .
