My week was purely for recreation. I was a 10 minute drive from central Bath and I could have caught a bus very easily if I needed to but everything I did was outside restricted parking hours so I just drove. The Zen House was a surprise for me. So comfortable. Close to all my appointments but out of central Bath so quiet.

Homely, cosy atmosphere. Clear and detailed instructions and recommendations for attractions and transport in our room. A very kind, welcoming and gracious host, Mami also made us a Japanese breakfast in the morning - highly recommended!

I couldn't fault the cleanliness and friendly staff of the B&B. However, there was no tea making facility in the room, no glass for water, no chair, no TB, and a lack of power points.

I liked the host Mami, who was exceptionally lovely, polite and welcoming. The room was very pleasant and the house was immaculate. A place of calm without any clutter. Comfortable bed and a lovely view. Thank you Mami for being a great host.

No complaints! My one request would be to add a small kettle in the room so as to make some tea in the evening.

A charming little B&B in the outskirts of Bath. The host, Mami, was very welcoming, and provided clear instructions for check-in and stay every step of the way. If you're visiting Bath, this guest house is a perfect place to lay your head for a few nights. I also highly recommend the delicious Japanese breakfast!

Mami, the proprietor, provided excellent communication from day one of my booking. I appreciated the flexibility to check in a bit early. The room exceeded expectations – clean, spacious, and well-heated, with clear instructions for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was impressive, equipped with all the necessary amenities. In the morning, I had delicious Japanese breakfast to start my day! My stay truly offered great value for money, and I highly recommend it.

The house is 20 min away from the city centre by bus, which is fine. However, the only inconvenience is you may have to walk 10-15 min to the next nearest bus stop if the no. 19 hourly bus isn't available.

It's a wonderful little house. Very clean and cosy. Our host Mami was so accommodating and friendly. She was always available by text. There is a lovely garden, and the room (Sakura) was very cosy. We had the Japanese breakfast, which was delicious.

The only slight niggle is that the double room we used had only one bedside table, and that the lighting was not brilliant for reading in bed. Having said that, there is a lovely sitting area downstairs where we were able to work/read using books or laptops.

Lovely breakfasts, lovingly cooked. Mami is an excellent hostess.

Loved everything

Absolutely brilliant. Cannot fault. Mami was lovely and made us a beautiful breakfast each morning. Loved trying the Japanese breakfast and she made my daughter eggs and toast. Coffee was fresh from machine. Lovely clean room and bathroom. Kettle and tea/coffee in room. Towels provided. Good Wi-Fi. Quick 5 minute drive to city centre. Would definitely return on next visit
