A quaint old but comfortable hotel not far from seaside attractions.

Our two rooms were about factor of 2 different in size despite costing the same. They were also some distance apart whereas normally you expect rooms booked together to be adjacent or at least close to each other. The decor is rather old; some renovation is needed to bring this up to modern standards. The breakfast is typical English fare, which means that visitors from Europe might be disappointed (decent coffee would help for example).

A quaint old hotel in which every room is a different shape and size. Large bar/restaurant area with a good selection of food and drink and late opening. Plenty of parking. Central location within walking distance of many restaurants, shops etc.

The only feedback for improvement would be to modernise the guest bedrooms in keeping with the communal areas downstairs. The tiles and feature sink are in keeping with the hotel, it is small things such as curtain upgrades and additional plug sockets that are required. The bedroom was again spotlessly clean and comfortable.

The location for the town centre was perfect, with plenty of large parking spaces available at the on-site car park. The communal areas are very well presented and the whole property was exceptionally clean and tidy. The delicious breakfast options offered a varied selection, were freshly cooked and piping hot. All staff were professional and polite.

Some parts are in need of renovation e.g. the upholstery in the lounge area but I know this is an ongoing plan

The staff were extremely welcoming and always polite and helpful. The hotel was warm and pleasant

Location, staff are always friendly. Always do a decent roast dinner on a Sunday.

Location was excellent just a very short walk to town and beach.Staff very friendly and proffesional. Beautiful old hotel with loads of history attached to it. A bit tired and could do with a bit of updating especially the large breakfast room.

No spa facilities, no pool. Temperature in rooms was not turned on till 6pm. Didn't like the fake flowers in outside window troughs.

The breakfast was great, room was comfy and good night's sleep had. Lovely fresh cakes served. Can recommend the burger meal, so tasty. Staff are friendly and helpfull.. Overall good value for money, plus central Felixstowe, near the station and shops.

Rooms were small but okay for price, decor was dated and bathrooms need an upgrade. Very noisy neighbours heard as if they were in the same room when in room or hall outside.

Parking, breakfast, size of building, location. Can go for a nice walk nearby, large property, near amenities and lots of parking.

I loved the grand Victorian hotel but as mentioned in other reviews it could be updated a little. I stayed with my 7 year old and we had a great sleep. The bed was very comfortable and room was nice and warm and very quiet at night. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was nice and there was a good variety. I would stay again if ever in Felixstowe again as it was a great location near the town and beach.

The carpet in the Charles Manning Suite was a bit mucky. Could do with either a good clean or replacing. Very important as it is a family room and could have little ones crawling around

Breakfast is a buffet, but was absolutely fantastic. Stayed in the Charles Manning Suite which had perfect space for the family.

Window in our bedroom needs repair. I wasn’t able to open , nearly lost it on to the flat roof below. Meals in the restaurant were limited, too many items were ‘off’. That needs to be better organised as it lets down the front staff who were doing there very best to satisfy customers..

Plenty of space to sit and read or chat. Tea or coffee available to order. Side bar near the restaurant very nice now that has been opened. Breakfast good. Range of food available sufficient to have a very good breakfast
