Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaThere were a few drawbacks during my stay. I was disappointed to find that there were no complimentary bottles of water provided in the room. In all the hotels I have stayed at, a few bottles of water are typically provided. This became particularly inconvenient when I returned to the hotel late at night to find that all nearby shops were closed, leaving me with no choice but to drink a bottle of Coke from the minibar. I was shocked upon checkout to discover that this small bottle of Coke was priced at an exorbitant 4.5 EUR. Additionally, the room lacked an electric kettle and there were no tea packages provided for guests. This absence was surprising and inconvenient, as having access to a simple cup of tea is a basic amenity I have come to expect from hotels in this category.
I recently stayed at UNAHOTELS Bologna Centro, and there were several positive aspects worth mentioning. The hotel's location is excellent, situated very close to Bologna Centrale, the central station. This made it extremely convenient to find the hotel immediately after arriving by train, and it provided easy access to explore the city. The staff were courteous and generally helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and checkout process. The room was clean and comfortable, offering a quiet retreat despite being in a busy area. The soundproofing was effective, allowing for a restful night's sleep, and the bed was comfortable with good quality linens. I also appreciated the hotel's stylish and welcoming lobby, which created a pleasant first impression upon arrival.

SwitzerlandWorst pillows ever—big, hard and lumpy, but we did receive different ones after we asked. Also I really struggle with the tolerance of many establishments in Italy for mold in the showers. Otherwise, things seemed clean but this is such a deal breaker for me. We were in town for the F1 so prices were as inflated as one would expect, but at those prices, it just makes the mold that much harder to ignore.
The location near the train station is excellent. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good. As previous reviewers note, the hotel needs updating but the rooms were reasonably comfortable, quiet and well equipped.

United Kingdomnot really a complaint but I had notified the hotel in advance that I am a vegan and was advised to mention to the staff at breakfast. I did, but was not offered any thing that was plant based either from the kitchen or that may have been on the buffet already. I did however get hot soya milk for my coffee. There was plenty of cereals, fruit and bread that I could eat from the buffet so as I said this is not a complaint.
excellent location especially for folks like us when coming in by train as virtually opposite the station. Fabulous room which exceeded our expectations particularly as we were unexpectedly upgraded for our arrival night. We then went to stay with family for a few days but on our return to the hotel, ready for the flight home, our room was excellent too. Many thanks to the very good staff at UNA HOTELS .

PortugalClean and comfortable but very noisy from the third floor and lacks evening vibe by bar. Also a 24 hour tea and coffee station would be a bonus.

United KingdomOur only complaint would be that the air conditioning wasn’t on and when we asked if it was broken we were told that it wouldn’t be switched on until the 15th of May. This meant that the room was stiflingly hot and opening windows meant that there were a lot of mosquitoes soon sharing the room.
Great location. Just across the road from the train station. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice.

SpainThe room was very hot and we were told the first two nights that the air conditioning couldn't be turned on/enabled. They suggested we open the window but our room faced a big and very noisy street.
Breakfast was great, the location was convenient. The room was a good size.

United KingdomLess about the hotel itself, but more the location. The area around the station isn't exactly pleasant. Would stay closer to the centre in future. More storage for clothes in the room and coffee making facilities would be good.
The hotel had some character - definitely quirky. Our room was large and had plenty of space. Staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was comprehensive. The room was kept very clean throughout our stay. Soundproofing was good - we were facing the main road and the station but the worst of the noise was filtered out. Overall it was a decent, comfortable place to stay for a week.

FinlandThe beds were very hard cause my back was aching. No view from the rooms either.
Room was large (superior) and hotel overall modern. Location convenient next to train station. We visited Modena, Parma and Ferrrara so they were easy travels. Breakfast was basically very good though the room was crowded on certain days.

TurkeyMy bad luck was to get a accessible room which I never requested. But I didn T complain since I arrived in the evening and left the next day.
The location was good just in front of the central train station. Walk to the city center takes around 20 min and it’a a comfortable walking route. I felt safe even at night. Breakfast was quite good with many options.
