The bed was hard as a brick. The shower went everywhere- we could not figure out how to reduce that.

Breakfast was good, the front desk was nice. Room was nice. Location is perfect. Lobby bar/atrium is a great space and we enjoyed the piano/violin.

We booked a very large suite that advertised a balcony. The room did not have a balcony, and the front desk argued with me when I checked out until I showed them a listing. Check-in was extremely slow with multiple trips from the staff to and from the back of the check-in desk. We were checking in with four people, but we could have supplied our passports and such in advance. One of the bars shown in the photos was closed during our entire stay. Do not get the drip coffee at breakfast: it is inedible.

The location of the hotel was great: right in the middle of town, and close to the trains. It was easy to get to restaurants, bars, and museums. The hotel also advertised free usage of the facilities at a partner hotel by the beach, but we were unable to make time to go there.

The hotel has issues. I requested a quiet room, high floor and arrived to find I was on the first floor, next to the lifts and in a room that overlooked the internal public courtyard that also had a pianist until midnight. So they clearly don’t read requests. I asked to change and was told it wasn’t possible so spent a sleepless night; however the next morning at 8am when I asked again they gave me another room, quiet, at the end of a corridor with no-one overhead. The hotel also had no hot water for over two days. I noticed it was not hot on Friday and then spoke to Reception on Saturday when they said it was in the whole hotel. They were unable to resolve it until Monday which is unbelievable for a hotel. They offered to move me to a room nearer the boiler to see if the water was hotter there or to move my hotel as they had an arrangement with another hotel but out of town as I understood it.

The reception staff were helpful. The bed was comfortable. The room was a good size. The breakfast was very good. The hotel has good common areas. The location is excellent.

Unfortunately there was building work happening outside our room & this started at 8am each morning we were there and was very loud. My husband did complain about this but the hotel did not take any money off our bill as we did not complain at the time.

Difficult to navigate to in a car due to the one way system. Car parking costs 18 euros a day.

The breakfast is ok but not great. The fitness room is pretty small for the size of the hotel and has been pretty hot the last 2 times we stayed here. The air conditioning is great everywhere in the hotel except there. The treadmill wasn’t working this visit. The shower had pink mold in the grout.

A little hard to find initially. My size of my room was perfect for my overnight stay, but would have been a bit tight otherwise.

There was an issue with a bad smell in the room I was allocated initially (not sure if it was coming from drains internally, or from outside). The staff moved me to another room, which resolved the issue.
