The pool was great. You could have drinks and snacks poolside and you could take dinner by the pool as well (there were heaters if it was a bit chilly). Valentina, one of the waitresses, was very nice and chatty. And we were given a bedroom with the biggest terrace I've ever seen, so we were thrilled about that. Also, Gianicolo is a great area to stay, a little apart from the main tourist areas of Rome but plenty of restaurants nearby and also the botanical garden.

We booked a car through the hotel to pick us up from the airport. This was more expensive than I would normally pay but I thought it would be a treat. So I was very disappointed when we had to wait more than 45 minutes for our driver to arrive because apparently she'd been waiting at the wrong terminal (she knew the flight details so it should have been clear which terminal to go to....). When she finally arrived we had to trek across the airport to the other terminal and she then charged €8 more than the price I had been quoted. The hotel was apologetic and compensated us with a bottle of something nice in our room.

The appartment was very comfortable and has a very good position for discovering the beauties of Sicily around! We enjoyed evening on the beach that is just across the street. The beach offers few bars and view on the sunset. The biggest suprise was a breakfast that we got from the owner (the best croissants we have ever eaten!) Thank you very much for such a pleasant stay!

Perfect location and at the perfect price! The host is super kind and will make your stay feel special! The room was nice, big and clean with big balcony. The parking is a big plus having in mind the location. Great and secure room to store bikes. Breakfast was super good with real espresso! Rooms are kept clean daily.

A bit of maintenance is due - the toilet door needs to be replaced with proper one, the shower head can be replaced. Can be a bit quiet - some doors needs greasing as you can hear other people opening and closing squeaky doors during the night.

- optimal location in lido with bus station about 3 mins away to take you to the ferries and great lungomare walk super close to the apartment - furnished in a particular style though materials are mostly cheap, still felt super comfy - room was made every day, nice house and green around, very nice staff

- in may not a problem, but in summer an AC for us is a MUST (especially in Italian summer nights) - bathroom should get automatic vent, currently only manual which always adds a bit of humidity - walls/doors are rather thin and at night you hear cars outside; earplugs fixed it for us

Hotel is right next to the central station, which was ideal for us. We got a free upgrade. The room was super clean, with all the essentials and the beds were really comfy! Highly recommended!
