It is a unique hotel. The room was fantastic, with very original decoration and furniture. The bathroom was superb. The breakfast was good.

They upgraded me to their sister hotel which was extremely wonderful. Very close to the train station. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I would recommend this hotel 100%

Late in the evening there were some drunk people sitting at the hotel entrance which made us question the safety. Furthermore, sound insulation was below expected as we could clearly hear noises from the hallway. Unlike in any other hotel, I was asked for credit card information as a "deposit".

This hotel provides a very comfortable and clean stay just across the main railway station. Our room was well equipped with amenities and with a big choice at disposal. Breakfast was one of the best I ever experienced in a hotel with a lot of Italian food choices at disposal. The hotel lobby and the elevator bring a really old-school vibe to the stay. Parking is at disposal and the staff offers a valet service because the garage is further down the street. Overall, the staff was really welcoming and made our check-in and check-out pretty quick.

We enjoyed all this hotel had to offer.

We were actually upgraded to here from Hotel Continental and were extremely happy! So close to train station. Old world charm with lavish surroundings. Had lovely cocktails on our last night.

Hotel is right next to the central station, which was ideal for us. We got a free upgrade. The room was super clean, with all the essentials and the beds were really comfy! Highly recommended!

My wife and I were upgraded from the original hotel to the 5 star sister hotel next door. There was no explanation but it was great. The breakfast was far superior to anything we could have had in the local area and the price was as well. Fantastic room.

We were upgraded to a deluxe five stars hotel room free of charge with exceptional service. Excellent location, next to the main rail station. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choice. We will definitely stay in the hotel when we visit Genova again.

Hotel was in an older Empire style internally so looked impressive but not comfortable as it could have been...for example our room had 2 formal dining chairs and a high table..but no soft lounge chairs

We were upgraded to the Grande Savoie Hotel next door so this review is not for Continental Hotel. Staff excellent and location near main station and central Genoa all good.Breakfast options and quality were exceptional

I honestly can't think of anything we didn't like.

When we arrived we were informed that they moved us to the sister property next door "the Grand Hotel Savoia" From all appearances that was an upgrade for us at the same price. The hotel (savoia) was a beautiful property and the room was also very nice as well as comfortable. People at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to wherever we needed to go and was extremely close to the train station to catch our train.

Location was perfect, a one block walk to the main train station. Breakfast (and coffee!!) was excellent! Our room had heat/AC with controls in the room and large windows that opened for fresh air.

On the other hand, if you're looking for a calm safe place - this is not a great option. The rooms are clean and soundproof. But you won't be able to hide from a city noise.

On the one hand, the hotel is located near the train/metro stations in a beautiful old house not too far away from the city center.

Complimentary upgrade from the hotel next door. Perfect location right next to the train station and minutes from the airport. One of the oldest hotels in Italy but perfectly renovated. Total satisfaction.
