The hotel was easy to locate with great storage and charging facilities for our bicycles. Staff were friendly and helpful. A short walk to restaurants overlooking the Loire River. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Everything was excellent and the location was brilliant for going to the Eras tour. So clean and a really comfy bed. The decor was very cool and my daughter loved it.

Apart from the attendance of delightful lady responsible for provisions of breakfast between 8.30am and 10.30am each morning, the only other staff member present for the remaining hours of the day was the housekeeper responsible for cleaning of rooms and the premises generally. Arriving at or after the advertised afternoon check-in time meant that one was provided with codes for gate, room and facility access by email or text so that one waited for breakfast the following morning to meet any person associated with the facility to answer questions or provide assistance in making reservations at local restaurants or attractions.

You enter a car park which looks abandoned, to find a building which is surrounded by waist high grass, a small narrow path leads to the reception, behind the counter is a surly guy who is convinced you need to pay again, trust me if I hadn't pre paid I would have slept in the car, the carpets are either threadbare or held together with gaffer tape, even the toilet lacked toilet roll, I'm certain a POW camp would be cleaner and better equipped, please please avoid!!

It was all a little disappointing, to be honest. When we arrived to check in, we were informed that our room wasn't ready and there had been an issue with the laundry. We waited an hour and a half and were only offered 1 soft drink. It is also a 5 star hotel, and you would normally be offered a drink on arrival, which we weren't. When we were eventually taken to our room, it was a dated loft room at the back of the hotel, with low slanted ceilings that you hit your head on when getting out of bed. The shower had no water pressure at all. The spa area is 3 flights of stairs down, and there is no service down there, so you have to treck up a mountain to get a drink if you are down by the lake or in the spa. In addition, there was never anyone in the bar area. The breakfast is charged at €35 per person and seems to just be a limited buffet with a toaster that didn't work. Overall, our stay was very disappointing, and everything felt like such an effort. They are charging as if they are a top tier 5 star hotel (which is what we expected), but it didn't live up to that. They did upgrade us for the inconvenience, which was appreciated, and the bar manager did try to help once my husband raised some of the concerns. We did end up having a nice time in Lake Annecy despite all of this and I appreciate that there were a number of things that are specific to just us, but please do be wary that, although the grounds are pretty, the hotel is quite dated, has a lot of stairs and if you go off season (middle of May) there is little service or availability of staff.

The rooms are really tiny. Super small window. Worst part is that it gets super hot in the room. Airco makes alot of noise so cant really turn it on for the night.
