We always stay at Citizen M when we are flying through Amsterdam. Cheapest hotel walking distance from the airport. Rooms are on the small side, but beds are big and comfy and you have everything that you need. They even have a luggage room for large bags so that you do not have to take all luggage to your room. Breakfast is good. Bar and some bar food available in the evening.

It was quaint, close to the airport, clean, roomy and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We went for a walk before supper and felt very safe. The restaurant was also lovely and the staff was knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free. We really enjoyed our supper and the breakfast. There were many gluten free options for breakfast. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, with many options to choose from. I liked the enormous selection of fruits available and the good coffee as well. The bed was very comfortable; nice sheets and a good mattress. The room was very quiet overall, except if you open the window facing the busy road. I do like sleeping with an open window, so I put ear plugs in. Other than that, everything was perfect!

I stayed here after my flight was unexpected canceled while flying out of AMS. The staff went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and felt welcome after this unexpected turn of events. Being without my luggage, I didn't have access to many of the comforts I typically travel with, but the staff did their best to accommodate in every way they could. The room and bathroom were very clean and this was the most comfortable bed I have slept on in any of my travels through Europe. I was very impressed and almost disappointed that I didn't have more time to spend there. The restaurant also had great food and service was impeccable. I would highly recommend staying here especially if you have an early flight. My uber to the airport cost about 25 euro, and only took 10-15 minutes.
