A quiet little escape from busy, tourist packed Kyoto, perfect for our four night stay in Kyoto end March. Very reasonably priced compared to many of the Kyoto hotels. We had house number 5, very spacious, big very comfy bed. We loved the little lounge area where they serve breakfast and a selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day. We had a hire car and parked in the car park almost opposite, very reasonably priced. Great base to then explore Kyoto. We did also utilise nearby stations to get around. You are not super close to the very popular tourist areas but all very accessible and it suited us to have a quieter escape as the city was very busy coming into peak blossom time. Location is also good, close to Nijo castle and with good connection to other areas.

The house is fabulous. The whole place feels like a work of art -- traditional but modern at the same time, and very clean. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The place got everyone one might need. The best part is that the price is less than most of the single-room hotels.

Could walk to most of the major sights. We were a group of 7 and found the facilities to be very comfortable.
