Very friendly people on site and the accommodation was the most modern I have had so far in Costa Rica. The chalets were immaculate and the pool was great. Having a kitchen was a real bonus. The closest beach is nearly empty most days. The village is a real tico experience - beats any of the tourist traps around.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. We arrived in the evening and you don't see a thing and don't know what to expect but when you wake up in the morning by the sound of the ocean and the birds it feels so good. The ocean is at your doorstep and there is hardly anyone on the beach so you can disconnect from the daily stress and huge amounts of people. This is a place to relax, kick back, read a book in a hammock, surf, bodybord or swim in the ocean. People working here are so nice, making excellent breakfast and helping you with everything you need (specially Leticia). We even took a fishing boat trip here and not only did we catch a fish but also saw many see turtles. Our stay was lovely, the owner and his son were there so our kids play a lot with him and he even taught us how to look for muscles, which we prepared the next evening for dinner. I wish we could have stayed longer. Alfredo you have a lovely place and my kids even said that they would love to move here (i guess because of the dogs 😄). We stayed 4 nights and it wasn't enough but we will be back.

This was our second time here and for sure not the last time. This place is unique. The Swiss owners make sure it's clean, well organized, well maintained and safe. We had a twin bed bungalow. They are well designed with opposite windows (with mosquito net), no need to switch on the aircondition. The food at the Restaurant is the best at Junquillal beach. Daily wake up call by the howler monkeys. Overall a very calm place. 2 minutes walk to the breathtaking beach. This place is close to paradise with reasonable prizing. Highly recommended.

The Mexican and Persian theme bungalows offer air conditioning and a fan, while the African Bungalow has a ceiling fan and offers a kitchenette. All bungalows come with a private entrance, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a private terrace with comfortable chairs and garden views. The bathrooms are private and have hot-water showers. Staff was accomodating. Location and vibe is unique. The swimming pool and table tennis were great additions.

Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua.

The accommodations include a fan, safety deposit box, seating area and a dining area with a fridge. They also feature a furnished terrace with garden and river views. The bathrooms are private and have a shower and free toiletries. We got there around 7 pm, and even though it was very busy, the owners were very gracious and showed us to our room so we could get the kids settled and then checked us in. It's a beautiful property surrounded by plants and wildlife. It's always very clean and the refrigerator is great to have.

Highly recommend!!
