How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I enjoyed my stay, although the hotel does need a little modernising, it was very comfortable very very clean and the staff were so nice and friendly. The hospitality was amazing. The hotel is right in the centre of most of the attractions within a few minutes walking distance. Th area is perfectI would definitely come and stay here again

All is Ok
Location is absolutely amazing. All transport points in a few minutes by walking. Hotel not new, but it's comfortable and clean, located on quiet street. Breakfasts are really tasty and hearty. Definitely, I will visit this hotel again.

It is receommended to stay with this hotel as the staffs are very friendly and helpful. I always stay with this hotel everytime I came to Istanbul for vacation as it is location wise even they came with breakfast. Thanks for the great jobs!

I loved my stay with Viva Deluxe and crew. All staff members are very friendly. The hospitality is excellent and any problems are sorted in a very timely manner. The Hotel is situated in a central location to shopping, public transport, iconic sites and restaurants all within walking distance. My room was large, cosy and cleaned daily. Value for money! Armin and staff, thank you for a wonderful stay. I look forward to my next visit.

All sockets are bad positioned, there are switches and socket at the head of the bed- really, really bad position. - Windows are hard to open. - Bed was uncomfortable. - Fridge is really noisy. - There is only one SMALL trash can in the bathroom, no other in the room.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. - Breakfast war tasty. - Landmarks are in walking distance and metro is few minutes away. - Kettle with coffee and tea, you become 'a bottle' of watter daily for every person.

may be the noise coming from.the next room but didn't really bother
the location of the hotel is 2 mins walk from.the tram station surrounded by many resturants and supermarket , the staff is so helpful especially Tauran at the reception the room is adequate and clean

The cold water from the bathroom sink flowed very slowly. The bathroom is small. The breakfast is of inferior quality. The food is not very varied and is of low quality.
The hotel's location is perfect. Historical tourist attractions such as Hagia Sophia are a 5-minute walk away. Very close to the MARMARAY train station (Sirkeci). Very good connection to the airport. The room was clean. Towels were changed daily. Cleaning was done in the room daily.

It was too hot in the room and we couldn’t turn off the heating, we heard everything from the outside and everyone could hear us as well. The room was too small for the price of the room, the same counts for the bathroom, the TV didn’t work
The hotel was close to the metro, restaurants and shops. Staff was very nice and always ready to help, breakfast was very good and we didn’t get the same food everyday, which was great. Also, the hotel workers were very welcoming, always answered our questions without any problem and were available 24/7

The rooms are small and there is space to store your things.
The hotel is centrally located, within easy reach of all sightseeing and public transport. The hotel is connected with a good restaurant and near the hotel there are plenty of restaurants. Tural upgraded our room when we checked in. The rooms are in need of a makeover, and a few things could be better and need to be repaired. If I would book this hotel again, it would be because of the location and service. Amin does everything to ensure that your stay is pleasant. From reception to transfer arrangements, nothing is too much for them

The hotel is old. It could use refurbishment. The rooms are basic and a bit small.
Friendly staff. Good location. Clean and neat. They gave us a room upgrade without us asking for it.

Facility wise (at least in the room where I stayed at the 5th floor), needs improvement. Bed area was OK, but when you enter the bathroom, you will feel what other review is saying - room rate is expensive...
Location is very good and easy access to trains, trams, water taxi as well as to the tourist destinations. Even just roaming around, the neighborhood is nice to stay. I had a problem with the advance payment, but the reception staff were patient to explain details if payment were paid in their system or not (All ends well). Food in the breakfast buffet was with more variety. Cleanliness, it was thumbs up...

Lots of traffic so if you are with car will be difficult to park and travel.
