The property is close to everywhere! Shops and restaurants. Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. It is also close to Metro. Bed is comfortable and TV is a smart TV with Netflix. Their staff are also really nice special mention to Seda their guest relation officer! I’m glad I chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday! I was surprised with a birthday cake whilst my friends and I were having our breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Staying at Hotel Byzantium was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The reception services were impeccable, ensuring a smooth check-in process and attending to our every need throughout our stay. Our family room was not only spacious but also impeccably clean and beautifully organised, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful Istanbul. The hotel's restaurant offered a fantastic breakfast spread, with a variety of delicious options to suit every palate. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the terrace, which boasted an exceptional view of the Istanbul. It was the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking sights of Istanbul. The cuisine at the hotel's restaurant was outstanding, offering a delightful blend of traditional Turkish flavors and innovative dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had there. A special mention must be made for the wonderful staff, particularly Ms. Seda and Mr. Erhan, whose attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our stay truly memorable. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident in every interaction. I recently stayed at Hotel Byzantium in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul and had an exceptional experience! The hotel itself boasts a fantastic location, with easy access to historic sites and stunning views. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the remarkable service provided by Erhan, the restaurant manager, and his dedicated team. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experiences were memorable. Erhan was incredibly attentive, offering personalized recommendations and sharing insights about local cuisine that enhanced our meals and overall stay. The staff's professionalism and warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Since the hotel is in Sultanahmet where there are a ton of restaurants, shops, and bars it can get noise late on the weekends but if you turn on the fan/ac the white noise masks it out

Location was incredible, right next to Sultanahmet square and only a 7 minute walk away from the Metro. Also, it was close to the Ahırkapı Fog Horn and Lighthouse which is a beautiful place to relax. Staff was great too especially Erhan and Seda, they packed me breakfast for my early morning flight even though the kitchen wasn't open yet.

The room was a bit small, so with our Check-in bags lying around it was difficult to move around.

We liked the hospitality of the staff a lot especially Seda who was responsible for guest relations and Erhan why managed the breakfast Restaurant. It was also walkable to most of the tourist attractions

Hello everyone. In April this year, we spent 5 nights in this HOTEL. My family and I use every free period of the year to remember places we haven't been. But for the first time in my 37 years, we encountered such a MIRACLE. The hotel was chosen by my husband, with which we are very satisfied, this kind of hospitality, culture, you literally feel as if you are at home, at any moment available for everything, if you want a milk from chicken, TEAM OF MANAGERS, WAITERS and COOKS they will make it possible for you. First of all, it is very clean, the rooms are cleaned every day, in one word, EVERYTHING SHINES. Fresh and delicious food, if you want something special, they will find a way to provide and serve it. We will definitely choose THE BYZANTIUM HOTEL again on the next occasion, we warmly and wholeheartedly recommend it to all of you. We greeting all employees, we wish you successful work, to continue like this and to be even better and to have many satisfied guests. The breakfast is not great. There are fruits and vegetables available, but the other options are poor

The location is impeccable near of the monuments and the Blue Mosque,Aya Sofia, the T1 tram is 200 meters away which is very useful. A big thans to the catering services, especially Erhan and Sada are always smiling and very helpful. I highly recommand this hôtel.

There was abit too much noise outside our room in the nights but this wasn't the fault of the hotel rather the other guests.

The property is in the most ideal location and very close to all points of interest. 5 minute walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. All staff and in particular Erhan and Sada were absolutely fantastic. So helpful throughout our stay. Erhan and Sada even arranged a cake for my daughters birthday. Byzantium suites should be very proud. Also lots of food available on the doorstep.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had breakfast Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future

There was a bed smell on the corridor coming from the basement. Also the coffee served at the breakfast was terrible but they offered us Turkish coffee with no extra charge.

Location is very close to the Blue mosque, Agia Sofia and Topkapi Palace so you can walk to visit them. Hotel personal was very friendly and always willing to help. One day they made us a surprize and prepared a birthday cake for my husband. Rooms are big and cleaned every day.

The budget room, that (according to Booking.com) had a garden view, was facing the street with all the pub noise at night, and looked onto a small concrete space with a row of noisy external air conditioning units and maintenance tools. I’m not sure what the maintenance tools were for though because the details in that room were very poorly done… Almost everything was wonky or loose or not finished. For example the bracket the shower head slots into was loose so that when I turned the shower on it would lift up to the point of spraying water above the glass divider (& soaking everything in its path, including my toiletry bag on the sink counter). I decided to simply tighten the screw on the bottom of the bracket, only to find one wasn’t even installed! Great water pressure though! I ended up staying an extra night and was offered an upgrade (just out of generosity, I hadn’t mentioned any issues). The room quality was night and day - the new room was quiet, spacious, extremely comfortable, well kitted out, and had a great view. So until they look into an overhaul of the budget rooms I’d say it’s worth going to the next level up.

Wonderful staff, especially Seda - but really everyone was fantastic. The rooftop restaurant is worth a visit even if you don’t stay there. Great location (especially the 360 view from the restaurant), but you do have to run the gauntlet of people trying to get you into their establishment on the way whichever direction you try to get to it from. If you want to be able to walk confidently straight to it look for the Irish pub - the door is right next to it on the left. The breakfast buffet is AMAZING. Great food, generous, and has different items every day. If you don’t have time to stay and eat they can give you a takeaway box to take some with you. Staff are constantly checking you have everything you need, especially before time is up and they start packing things away.
