Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaBreakfast was quite bad, basically zero sweets which is unfortunate since turkey is well known for their sweets. Also barely any meat. Also they didnt have enough chairs/tables for all the people so we had to go back in our room for 30mins then come back. Then to top it off, they did not refill the food trays. Honestly, worst breakfast experience so far.(which sucks because i chose this place due to good breakfast reviews)
Location was good and that it's 24/7

RussiaAll is up
Location is good for tourists because of a transportation system. In general it’s sucks. I don’t think it’s even safe at night. A lot of beggars, suspiciously looking people. And people in general haha But if you need a nice spot in terms of transport, so yeah for sure makes sense Service and staff. It was pretty nice. Guys are attentive and careful, do their best to solve a problem, issue whatever. Cleaning is okay. Nice system with buttons: if you need cleaning, you press a button giving this green light to them to clean. Isolation is bad on the first floor. This is for real. Initially we were given a room there, asked to change next day. Thankfully they made it work. Breakfast. It’s fine, you will always find something to eat. 4 hot dishes (like sausages, eggs, fries, burek, draniki (potato pancakes etc), different cheese, some veggies and fruits, olives, ofc bread. Coffee is not good, sorry. The pics provided don’t mean there is no food guys, just took them when it was running out of food. After 5 min it was back The room. There were some spots on the walls after previous guests but other things were okay. In general, they are doing great comparing with other options with the same value for money and even more.

KazakhstanIf you're a noise-sensitive person, you'd better check what room is booked for you. The hotel is on the corner, and morning hours can be horribly noisy because trash cars start driving around from 3 a.m. I spent my first two nights on the first floor, which was horrible! Then I asked for another room and got it without delay. Luck was I. It was on the 6th floor, the other side of the hotel, and the noise was much less. Also, the sink in my room (605) needed repairing cause it was constantly leaking, thus destroying the floor. I hope the manager whom I mentioned about it, took further action. You also have to keep in mind that the bathroom is really tiny and fits people of S-M size. On the one hand, everything is literally at hand. Still, on the other hand, you can hardly squeeze two towels on the hanger and your head over the sink: no toothbrushes, toothpaste, broken shampoo container, no conditioner, no soap. But the hot water was excellent!
The hotel is situated a few minutes' walk from the tram station "Aksaray" and is quite easy to find. Moreover, those who are familiar with Istanbul can easily walk to Grand Baza or Sultan Akhmet from it. There are lots of shops, coffee shops, food courts, and other busy places one can enjoy. Breakfast was sufficient for both vegetarians and meat-eaters, in my opinion. There was not much variety, but enough to energize oneself for a half day. They provide free water, coffee/tea bags, cups, and a teapot in rooms. Towels were changed daily (though I didn't need that). There is a lift in the hotel. It's a nice place to stay in general!

I liked the breakfast which was always nice as they change it up everyday, the location is perfect near tram and metro line lots of shops around. Customer service is excellent also the rooms are quite spacious but toilets small

RomaniaThe bathroom was a bit small and it had a large mold spot with dripping water on ceiling, probably from the shower above. The air conditioning system hasn’t been cleaned for a while and was pretty dusty. Overall the cleaning could be improved.
The receptionists were very kind and helpful. They helped with anything I asked. The room was medium sized with pretty new furniture and appliances.

United KingdomThe restaurant was being refurbished so breakfast was an airline-style tray delivered to the room. We were alerted to this in advance and it was fine so no complaint but a shame to miss out on the full breakfast and especially coffee - there was some Nescafé in the room.

United KingdomNo easy access from street level into hotel (no accessible entrance for disabled or mobility). Steep steps from street. Coffee machine at breakfast only (bad) instant coffee and other auto hot drinks, no fresh tea or coffee.
Not a central location away from touristy spots, but great transport links to get to other places in the city. Top floor restaurant with views over the rooftops to (almost) the sea. Comfortable bed and good lighting incl (very) small shower room. Friendly and helpful reception staff, easy to check in and out. I asked for room not to be cleaned or linen changed every day and that was fine.
