How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room cleanliness
Value for money. Very good location close to Taksim. You need to walk 5min uphill from the hotel to reach Taksim but it is manageable. Impossible for a person with disabilities but this is how entire Istanbul is. But, when you return home, after too many hours waking around Istanbul it is mush easier... The room was not very clean and was not cleaned at all during our 3 night stay. Hotel receptionists were excellent and very helpful. They booked taxi for us and arrange our transportations with no issues. A large bonus is the free hotel parking. We arrived from Greece by car and we left the car to the hotel parking until we leave. We were moving around Istanbul on foot or by taxi.

Some little but important details in the bathroom/kitchen( ceiling paint ruined and malfunctioning taps) and in the kitchen (not very well equipped). Third bed very noisy!

The equipment needs to be refreshed: it’s visibly amortized, walls repainted: small stuff which would significantly improve the overall experience.
The place is nice and the rooms are very big compared to the regular hotel rooms.

The property location
The suite was perfect, the market downstairs was perfect and helpful. Mehti who we checked in with was amazing and went above and beyond to help us with everything during our stay. We can’t say enough about just what an amazing staff member Mehti is. We were very pleased with the accommodations the location although not the best everything else made it better.

There were a few small thing that could be added, like some cloth to wipe the table, more dishes, dish washing machine tablets, more towels (a few smaller ones and one for the feet). The was some issue with the balcony doors that were hard to open. Also, we were 6 people and had only 2 keys, would be great to have more.
The apartment is very good, especially we enjoyed pool and gym. The beds were comfortable. The host was 24/7 available and provided us with anything we needed. The apartment felt very safe and it is just 5 min walk from the airports bus stop, very convenient location to travel anywhere in Istanbul. Also, some of us were working remotely from the apartment and it went just fine, as it is quiet and the internet speed is sufficient.

There was no option to regulate the temperature in the room. The host had ask us to open our windows that was the only drawback. Everything was very good.
The location of the property was excellent. It was just around to Taksim Square and Istikal Cd. as was mentioned on the website. The two bedroom apartment could easily accommodate 5 to 6 guest with two sofas and the living room.

The apartment needs real maintenance. Under the bed is very dirty, corners also, there is some specific smell inside similar to stinky feet. To regulate water flow with the shower knob is very difficult, there is no place where to hang a towel in the small toilet. The glasses for water are very small and despite there is dishwasher there is no tablet. Also if you throw the garbage there is no additional bag for this and we used different paper bag from our shopping, otherwise you have to contact the receptionist. On the third day when was the cleaning day they didn't empty the garbage bin despite it was almost full. We informed receptionist that we would want to stay one more night in the apartment and even though he confirmed the availability we didn't receive a price and finally we found another place for one night. The overall maintenance is not enough for the price of this place.
The building is fancy with underground parking included in the price. It is near Taxim square where is the metro station, restaurants and a small store. There is a convenient store on the ground floor with reasonable prices. The receptionist is speaking good English which is very rare in Turkey.

The detail information provided on the advert was not accurate. The Dining & chairs were table was about to collapse. One of the Dressing table's drawer were broken and hazardous. The Shower unit was nightmare. All water flows on the lobby's floor and come to bathroom. Booking.com must verify before they published the information. I had a very good impression about booking.com. But this time I am very much disappointed. I have made a complain whilst I was on the property. But there is reply from Booking.com. Now I have an impression about booking.com they are only to earn money virtually.... never bother about their sustainability of business. Very badly they robbed me through this booking. The price is too high when I practically visited the place.
The Caretaker Mr.Abdullah was great personality. He was very down to earth.
