Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower wasn't great. It was either boiling hot or freezing cold, and we had to jiggle the thermostat for a few minutes before we got in. Shower pressure wasn't fabulous either, but it got us clean so it worked after a fashion! We had to ask for the room to be cleaned, as I don't think they do it every day, unless requested. Ran out of loo roll a couple of times and had to nip downstairs to ask for some.
The hotel was lovely. It's right in the centre of the old town, so perfect for saving on taxis! The bed was really comfortable and to say it is central, it was very peaceful, with no external noise. We found the owners to be very accommodating and able to help us order transport to the airport, and gave recommendations for restaurants. The outside area is very peaceful. They had some lounge music playing whilst we were by the pool, which was lovely and not intrusive. It's a very pretty area, in a courtyard, with lots of greenery, but the space is small. Myself and my husband used the pool on one of our days, but it isn't designed for more than two or three people to be out there sunbathing. There are tables and parasols too, if you prefer the shade. We had room only, so no breakfast was included. On our pool day, we had a couple of beers in the sun, and asked for chips, which were handmade for us. Proper deep fat fryer fat delicious chips! They were brill!

United KingdomThe water pressure was a bit low at times and the rooms could do with a couple chairs which of course is not possible as the room was not large enough to accommodate them.
Never had breakfast there as we were never up early enough to try it. The location was excellent.

South AfricaBathroom could do with a little maintenance, as a water pipe was constantly leaking water onto the floor for the duration of my stay. Staff were informed, so hopefully it will be fixed in the near future.
Central location in the old town but located far enough from the noise at night. Rooms are basic but clean & operational. Family-run staff were excellent. Pool area in the backyard garden was quaint & lovely.

Brilliant price for a stay in the centre of Antalya. Loved the swimming pool and courtyard area. The hotel looks to have been around for a while but it’s a lovely family run place. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a twin room and both the beds were comfortable. Great to walk and see everything in Antalya

United KingdomThe room I was initially placed in was not good - it was dark and faced over the lane outside. It seemed very noisy with sound of dogs barking much of night plus other noise This room had a problem with severely peeling wallpaper which was unsightly and offputting - it was in need of a relatively simple repair - that is sticking back with glue. There was a strange smell in the bathroom in this room. In the delightful room at the back we were transfered to there was a problem with peeling wallpaper but it was slight and barely noticeable In this room the fridge did not work
the room overlooking the garden at the back was wonderful - having the garden with its trees and flowers and the sound of water added to the experience The walled garden and lobby area of the hotel between the front entrance and the back was also lovely The staff were friendly and helpful The breakfast was delicious the day we had this. The location was central and convenient in the most pleasant and oldest part of the city

TurkeyFor the money that we paid there will be no complaints.
This hotel is in the middle of the old town of Antalya. Great thing that it's located in the quiet area, and you don't hear all the parties that are going on around or all the drank youngsters that wander around after parties. This is a historical building with an inner yard with a plunge pool and patio. Renewed bathrooms are very clean.
