How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was not cleaned even once during our vacation. The sofa was burned with cigarette.
The receptionist was good, and the location is great. The room was as big as we saw at the pictures.

Cleanliness: the bathroom was not good clean , kitchen cooker was dirty with off oil .

Booking description doesn’t met real condition. Have to demand from staff extra bad which I have already paid for. Stinky toilet and cleanness of the room 3/10. There was no elevator. Self service hotel. Not all staff speak English.
Location is perfect. Breakfast was not at the hotel, but in the restaurant near Galata Tower which is perfect and worth it.

Price and room . This hotel has no elevator , we have to pick our luggage’s to 5th Floor , it is not at all worth the money I paid for the property .

Overall, it was good, experience which could have been better if following was available; - Dishwasher - Hand washing Soap - Drinking water along with a few tea bags or coffee (at least once at the time of check-in). - Fresh Beddings and towels (they were washed but quite old).
Excellent location, good apartment size, and room placement polite and good staff, neat and clean overall.

We spent 8 nights in Istanbul and the Princes Islands in three different locations and we found the air conditioning at GHH to be weak in comparison. Not us but some people might prefer there to be a lift. Had to ask for extra towels / sheets / toilet roll when should have already been provided.
Large apartment - 501 - top floor ' penthouse ' - fifth floor with great terrace and excellent views over the Bosporus with the Galata Tower just behind. Location perfect and my goodness what a busy evening area - so buzzy in a good way. Arrived at 12.30 and room ready which was good as check in time 2pm. Reception arranged for a prompt taxi car to get us to the airport quickly when we left.

A number of things were broken in the bathroom - the sink was wobbly, the shower glass was unbalanced, some of the water leaked outside, which means no good waterproofing and the shower ventilator was literally scotch-taped to the wall and not working. It is not unbearable or much of a deal-breaker, but it is unpleasant and certainly worth noting.
The apartment is located quite conveniently, near Galata tower, metro station, funicular and bus station, which gives you access to all parts of Istanbul quite easily. The size of the apartment was very good, all with a small kitchen, big windows, lots of light and nicely decorated. Their breakfast is served out-house in a beautiful restaurant right in front of Galata tower, with good breakfast options.

What I don't like is the wi-fi that is poor, the fact that there is not enough equipment of cooking, no clothes washer and the hotel is on a hill that is not made for old people. The hotel is oriented toward athletic people/young.
To start with, what I like about the residence or apart hotel is the localisation, Mr Benan who is a nice and a helping person plus calm of place in general.

The towels were dirty and shower worked badly. Also there were very small number of dishes in the kitchen. The size of the room was smaller then they promised on the Booking.
The location is great! You can reach metro for 10min and Galata Tower for 5min. Managers always help us with our troubles. They made our staying more comfortable. We can recommend this hotel for your vacation in Istanbul.

It’s located on a very steep Hill and Bathrooms has a foul smell , There was no lift

4th floor without elevator. Breakfast is in a different place other than the hotel. The location is too much hilly and hard to get to. No car parking.
