How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The rooms are not so new and you can see some things ripped off, the shower in one of the rooms was so small that i could n t close the door They said will charge 15 euro/night for the dog , even tho on booking don't specify it If you come by car the closest parking (1 min away) will charge you 750 turkish lira , almost 20 euro/ night
I liked the location, is great, close to hagia sophia and blue mosque, 3 min walking, i liked that the breakfast was served in the restaurant which was so nice, the cleaning was daily and the staff friendly The location is great and i highly reccomend.

Very basic facilities. Double bed was just two single once put together so when you sleep you have to choose which side. The room wasn't durty but I wouldn't say it was clean. Location wise - yes, maybe the hotel is near all major attractions on the western side but - be prepared to wake up at 5am for pray!)

There were slight moldy parts in the bathroom, but it doesn't matter, given the price and location.
Perfect location—It's in the middle of everything. It was so convenient that I could use the hotel for a short rest during sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent: coffee, tea, bread, cereals, and cooked hot meals. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave me a hot tea when I checked in, which was such a nice welcome. I will definitely come back here the next time I visit Istanbul.

washroom a bit congested to use and also ventilation facility need to be improved.
Location is excellent to explore most attractive area, Elasophia hotel staff members are Friendly and helpful specially i have found Mustafa & Muzaffar both are very Professional and has given efficient service. overall, it was a great experience staying in hotel Elasophia and i will strongly recommended to others.

People, people, people. They went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable holiday, from people working in the kitchen, to the waiters, reception,etc. I especially want to thank Mustafa and Muzafar. We feel like visiting friends/family in Istanbul.

We had rooms on the second floor which had weirdly sloped ceilings which cut into room space.
The location was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good too.

The room was very small, also of the attic type, which made the space even smaller. With only one small window, which was the biggest inconvenience during our stay here. The shower and bathroom are the smallest, the furniture in the bathroom is damaged and rusted. The towels are quite small and when we use them there is nowhere to dry them. There are air conditioner motors on the roof, so if you want to stay cool at night, you have to get used to the fact that the noise of the motors of all the rooms and yours too will bother you. Wifi 90% not working probably due to the thickness of the walls or poor quality. Poor Muzafer had to restart it so many times during our stay, but internet worked only for 10-15 minutes after restarting.
The staff is very friendly especially MUZAFER who was very friendly during our stay. He recommended some options for atractions and gave some tips when to do things. Of course we were offered the traditional tea aswell. The positiveness of the ladies during breakfast time is amazing too, they are ready to help. The staff and location genetally is the biggest treasure for the hotel.

Close to all main attractions. Within walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Gulhane park and tram. Very close to many shops and eating options. Very safe and convenient. Staff were especially helpful thanks Uras, Abideen and Tina. Breakfast is good and breakfast staff are very helpful. Overall Elasophia were very helpful for our family needs and accommodating to our two toddlers. THANKS ELASOPHIA!

No trash bin inside room. no water for coffee. ac wasn't good. beds were small in size. Did not provide extra blanket on request. WiFi network wasn't good. Breakfast was not good either and did not have a lot of variety of choices.
Overall it was great experience. Staff was friendly specially Mustafa, Murtaza & Tina. They really helped us a lot in sense of finding things we were looking for.
