Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyAlmost nothing. Probably the price which was high.
The place located in the heart of historical center. The area was safe and was walking distance to main trouristic attractions. The hotel was really calm and the staff were superb: nice, polite, professional and welcoming. I personally did not like the reception working in the afternoon, but the rest of the staff were really warm and helping. I do recommend the place to anybody who visits diyarbakir.

NetherlandsReception very friendly and professional. As well as the boys running the bar and breakfast. Its clean and comfortable. We would have liked to have more variety at the bar. Rooms were very dark at first (facing the inside of the building) but the lady at reception changed it to real windows in an instance. Thank you Team Amida!

United KingdomWhile it's quieter because of it, as all windows face inside, there is little natural light. Reception staff don't speak English, but this was only really an issue as we had an issue with the AC that was harder to resolve exclusively using Translation apps.
The room was comfortable and the facilities were good. Very quiet as rooms don't face the street. The breakfast was nice, including the space. Staff were mostly welcoming, and helped us resolve an issue we had.

United KingdomA little noisy, but my room was situated close to the "inner courtyard" breakfast area and bar. It is hard to find further fault at the very reasonable price.
The hotel is very well located, within the walls of the old town, just a couple of minutes' amble from the citadel. The other main sites may also easily be reached on foot. The staff speak a little English and are very welcoming, making every effort to help. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and the breakfast enjoyable. There was even a pleasant bar in the "indoor courtyard" that served ice-cold beers.

AustraliaThe breakfast menu although of good quality and enjoyable but limited in its range. The reception area and the lobby small relative to the rest of the facility.
The Hotel was well located within the old city and walking distance of all the major attractions. Newly renovated well designed building with good size, well equiped, very clean and well maintained rooms. Extremely helpful and responsive staff including Mizgin, Yakup, Ugur, Zana, Enes, Zeynep.

AustriaMy only complain would be the lack of the terrace which was mentioned in the description, and on the elevator, but apparently it's closed. Anyway the inner courtyard where you get breakfast is perfect!
Excellent location, very comfortable and beautiful place, excellent breakast. Huge room with all the comforts. Very friendly and helpful staff, even if most of them don't speak English, they try to make sure you are well taken care of.

AustriaThe toilet was marked as cleaned, and in general it was. However inside the bowl there were cigarette buds and a dark yellow liquid we hope it to be cleaning material just forgot to be flushed out. We flushed it ourselves and was all good, but the cleaning stuff should check this stuff before putting a sign saying "we cleaned it specially for you".
Good breakfast Friendly and helpful staff Very good value for price Excellent location The room was pretty clean

CanadaThe AC in the room was a bit powerful and not easy to control
We had a great three night stay at Amida. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Everything is less than 1 km away, including the bazaar, the archeology museum, and lots of restaurants. The room is large and comfortable and quiet. The hotel has a large cooled atrium used for the daily breakfast but also it’s a great place to hang out. The staff were so friendly, warm and helpful. Zaynep at the front desk, got us a room, despite our early check in and arranged a city tour and our Taxi to Mardin. Remzi took us on an excellent walking tour of the main sites and brought us to a great local restaurant. We really liked the town. It is not very touristy. People here we’re probably the friendliest of any place that we visited so far. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. However, note that very few people speak fluent English, so Google translate is a must.

NetherlandsEverything was splendid
The hotel is situated at a top location near most popular sites. The hotel was clean and beyond our expectations in it’s interior design. We very much liked the lovely patio. Hotel staff, in particular miss Senay, was very helpful in pointing out the must sees. The hotel has a private parking. They let us use the parking even after check-out during our sight-seeing.

Basically everything was fine, except and the room had no window except to the inner glass covered courtyard. So try to get a room with windows to the garden or the street. Valet parking for free very good service!!!! Breakfast nice.

ItalyBeautiful hotel in the very centre of Diyarbarkir, in a lively area of town. The rooms are big and stylish, breakfast is huge and served in a beatuiful covered patio. There's a covered and guarded car-park if you are arriving by car. Staff was attentive to our requests and were very quick and professional at fixing a little misunderstanding. I would have totally stayed longer.
