“Efficient and friendly staff. Splendid views, lovely gardens well tended. Good free parking. Bedroom: excellent bed, good bathroom. Good and varied breakfast included. Hotel keeps improving the installations, as a very old palace is always difficult to change in a instant.”

  • “We had a wonderful two-day stay. The place is beautiful and has great charm and an authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed dinner with the local wines and this was a great experience - the owner talked about the wines and production and the pleasant chef about the good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We warmly recommend a stay at Morgadio Da Calsada Douro”

  • Hotel Trindade Coelho Review score: 9

“This hotel is well situated for visits in to the town and local shops. There are plenty of good restaurants close by the hotel. Mainly Portuguese is spoken everywhere, but we managed to get by with a mixture of Spanish, French and English. We hiked around the PR1 circuit which is approximately 11kms. This starts and finishes in Mogaduro. Maps of the walk can be obtained from the Tourist Office. Mogaduro is a lovely well kept town situated at around 700 metres.”
