“Our kandy stay was quite good, the rain didn't stop us having a good look around. Our host and his mother were great. They really looked after us.There is a shortcut walk down to the centre, that we used .Makes it really good access..Breakfast was really ample, and a mix of western and sri lankan. Kandy is quite impressive, a lot to do.”
“The most kindest owner of a hotel you will ever meet. Will do absolutely anything for you. Helped us to arrange our train from Kandy to Ella, provided different schedules for dates and times. When we were unable to get a ticket for the train on our desired date, the owner was kind enough to refund our final night as this was not needed as we left Kandy a day earlier than planned. He also escorted us to the train station to make sure we got the right train.
The owner also provided a lovely breakfast free of charge.
Room is very large and spacious.
Air Con worked fine.
Shower with hot water.
Location was great.”
“Perfect homestay just outside of Kandy on the hillside. Very spacious and well-equipped rooms with a great view from the balcony. Very friendly hosts who serve great food and have interesting conversations with the guests. I was given excellent help while I was ill. This place is highly recommended and we would come back anytime.”
“Lovely host and amazing view in a very comfortable room! Kanil and his family were super friendly and helpful. They‘ve picked us up in the city and brought us there again when we left. Kanil even helped us to get into the correct public bus. We highly recommend getting the optional breakfast, as it is homemade and really good! The room is very cozy and clean. It was an overall amazing experience and we‘d definitely stay here again!”
“My stay at Anniewatte House was very nice. My room was clean, spacious and functional. When I asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast I got the most delicious breakfasts served on the patio outside my room. The location was quiet and in a nice neighbourhood. I walked downtown every time but it is a bit far. However you can always go by Tuktuk. There is a big supermarket nearby. The family was very friendly and helpful. They also gave me a plate and knife when I asked for it.”
“The view from the room and the top terrace was beautiful, private and tranquil. Anjana was super friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to make me feel at home and was flexible with check in and checkout times. They helped me do some laundry and cooked up a delicious vegan breakfast. I'd without a doubt stay again next time I'm in Kandy.”
“súper confortable, the owner was so so so helpful in getting us to our activities and also helped us get to the train a better way than we intended. he was so lovely and a pleasure to deal with.”
