  • The Lagg Review score: 10

“The Lagg is a lovely building in beautiful surroundings where staff are very nice and attentive. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a variety of options, including good vegan options. What capped it all off was the gorgeous resident dog.”

  • The Douglas Hotel Review score: 9

“The location of the the hotel was perfect. On the sea front and a short walk to the few shops . If you was walking from the ferry terminal it was also only a short walk. We had room 202, which had a balcony and a lovely view. We ate on the restaurant in the very which was very good, with great service. Breakfast was also delicious. All the staff were very friendly.”

  • “We were in a deluxe double, lovely and spacious, though if you were a tall man it might feel a bit tight as we were in the attic space the ceilings were lowers than other rooms. The window was fabulous with two little chairs to sit and relax looking at the fantastic view. I also really appreciated the addition of peppermint tea in the tea caddy, nice to have at the end of the day.”

  • Ormidale Hotel Review score: 9

“The hotel with its bar and restaurant are located in an awesome garden and I would definitely recommend sitting in the old greenhouse for dinner. The bar is equally pretty and offers a large range of drinks at reasonable prices. The Sunday night I spend there, they also head live traditional music played by locals and also some visitors. After closing, the whole place was very quiet and I had a great night. Breakfast is a real highlight here, with freshly prepared traditional Scottish options and great coffee.”

  • Kings Caves Glamping Review score: 10

“Gorgeous location, out in the wilderness but only a short drive to Brodick. The pods were nice and clean and Sarah was the most welcoming host. Even better were little ducklings welcoming us at the nearby pond. Would definitely recommend.”

  • The Corrie Hotel Review score: 8

    “Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.”

  • Butt Lodge Review score: 9

“The lodge is located in Lochranza a small and peaceful population in the north of the island, we didn't see any shops and there were only a couple of bars in the village but this wasn't a problem for us . Cath and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was on the small side but it had everything we needed. The bathroom was renovated, fresh and clean. We also got to see the deer grazing at dusk on the golf course right in front of our window. Dinner and breakfast were excellent!”

  • Auchrannie Resort Review score: 10

“Absolutely EVERYTHING 💓 What an absolute 'gem' of a place, to the point that we've booked to go next May for 5 nights! The location, facilities & the staff were exceptional....Ashley especially. The lady at reception (sadly didn't get her name) was so helpful.”

  • Lochranza Youth Hostel Review score: 8

“Going back to this hostel after years was a pleasure. Absolutely breathtaking location. We spotted seals, baby lambs and sheep, seals, wild rabbits, deers… Nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, nice and cosy common rooms. Quiet and peaceful area of Arran (probably the best). Pleasant and helpful girl at the reception.”

  • Lamlash Bay Hotel Review score: 8
