  • “Spent 4 nights here while travelling in China and was prepared to give a good review as I was happy with hotel, facilities, room, location but what made this place shine was the above and beyond service from staff (in particular White Zhang, the lobby manager). I stupidly left a large amount of cash in various currencies in room safe and was 1000km away before I realised. Mr Zhang took considerable time out to visit banks for me, convert currency, send this to friend with Chinese account as this was only way. For this I am truly grateful. Cannot recommend this hotel enough but wouldn't advise testing them on leaving anything more than a mobile adaptor in room when you leave. As for hotel, in a mostly business district but 50 m from subway which will get you anywhere in Beijing for 3Y (40p) in minutes. And don't get me started on the robots.....”

  • Novotel Beijing Peace Review score: 10

“Novotel is just great for tourists that don’t spend much time in their rooms. Daily cleaning, fresh towels, water and all other needs were completed at the first ask. Hebe on the front desk helped us out with Alipay, hotel management, please award her for being so nice and helpful!”

  • CITIC Hotel Beijing Airport Review score: 10

“Hotel has it's own shuttle to the airport and back, personall is helpful. Comfy beds. They exchange money at the reception desk as well.”

  • “Modern conversion within the heart of the traditional hutongs. We stayed in one of the residences, just across the alley from the hotel. Our apartment had a bedroom, lounge with sofa bed, bathroom and small kitchenette. Nicely done with smooth concrete floors. Two options for breakfast - either Western or Chinese. The Western had some great twists, and some spicey options. The Chinese was a little chaotic the one time we tried it - they didn't realise we were guests so gave us the full menu to order from, before realising their mistake once we'd selected everything. This hotel is in a great location - there is a super walking/shopping street in the hutong, not far from the hotel, and it is a short walk to the bell and drum tower. We booked a trip to the Great Wall through the hotel which went very smoothly. The advice is to arrive early at the Wall. We arrived at 11am and there was an hour queue for the chairlift. When we came down at around 14:30 there was no queue - so it might in fact be better to have lunch and then climb the wall.”
