The wifi was not great in our room, but we were able to use it easily in the common area and lobby. That was the only drawback, really.

This hotel is in a very convenient location in Casco Viejo. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and both of the rooms we stayed in were spacious and clean. It was also nice having a kitchen to store breakfast food and snacks.

We put out the “please make up room” sign each of the 4 days we were there but it didn’t ever happen. 4 days too long for no rubbish emptying or fresh towels

We were supposed to stay just 2 nights, but we ended up staying for a week. Rooms are very clean, and spacious. The shower is huge. Perfect location. Walking distance to everywhere in Casco Viejo. The staff was very helpful. The price was cheap. I would come back to the same hotel! Highly recommend

it was a Saturday and there was s very loud religious gathering just next door, with music and microphone speeches being made, very similar to a cult. this went on all night long and there was no action from the hotel to stop that. we had children with us and it was very important to sleep for that night because we were going on a long hours flight back to Europe… in that sense it was really horrible because we had no rest at all…

it has great facilities with everything we need. a big shared kitchen that is clean and with coffee and tea. some games in the lounge area and great balconies to overlook the street. also amazing central location! the staff were always very friendly.

The two receptionists: Joseph & Ximon were fantastic! They were both pleasant, helpful & a true breath of fresh air every time I chatted with them! Stay as pleasant as you both are! Thanks for making me & my husband's stay at Magnolia Inn a marvelous one!

I stayed for a week whilst doing a Spanish course in Casco Viejo, and ended up extending for another day. First of all, this place has the loveliest staff ever, Josef and the rest of the staff made my stay great. They were always really helpful, and provided recommendations about activities in Panama as well as information about buses to other cities etc. Everything is kept clean and tidy, and the facilities work great. I found it easy to make friends even though there aren’t social activities at the hostel because of the large common area and kitchen. The dorms are simple and comfortable, and I’m sure the normal rooms are great to. Also you can’t beat the location!

The location was excellent, right in the middle of Casco Viejo, and was a great value. The room was at garden level so not much natural light, and could use with a renovation, but it was clean and a great price, totally fine for one night's stay.

Our stay was a little unusual. After booking a room at the Magnolia Inn, the property has to close for two weeks for essential repairs which conincided with our booking. Magnolia Inn provided an excellent service in finding alternative rooms for us. The apartment they sourced was in a nearby location and was of superior quality to the room we had booked. The property was managed by AmazInn. The main downside was that there was no 24 hr reception for the apartment, which was one of the reasons we booked Magnolia in the first place. During our stay we had occasion to want to speak with the “front desk”. Unfortunately our emails and messages to both Magnolia Inn and AmazInn went unanswered the whole time we were there. We had wanted to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout , but the requests went unanswered. Overall we were satisfied, but the lack of communication was a definite negative.

I stayed Thursday-Sunday. Thursday and Friday I was out later, so I found the night to be very quiet. Saturday night I was trying to sleep earlier, and there was a very loud church service happening nextdoor until about 1am. If I had been out partying on Saturday, it wouldn't have bothered me ;-) I would have liked a few tables, chairs, or hooks for placing items in the room.

Very clean property and rooms. Very nice staff. There's a free walking tour (I think daily at 10:30am), but they don't tell you at checkin - you only hear about it if you ask "what do you recommend I should do?" They were quickly able to change my room from the no-AC larger dorm to the AC 4 bed dorm. It's in an overall quieter and more safe feeling part of Casco Viejo.

Location was fantastic. The bathroom was not connected to our room and meant we had to leave the room, and use a key to use the bathroom across the hall which was not advertised. We changed rooms and all was fine after that. Felt like the hotel had a hostel feel to it with a kitchen for traveller to use and fridges to keep food in, which I did not expect, but did not mind at all. The rooms were large and comfortable.

Magnolia Inn was immaculately clean, in a great location, and such a great value for the money! Would absolutely stay here again.
