Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

IndonesiaThe walls are very thin, you hear a lot of noise in the hall or from the other rooms. Also, when the ventilator in the shared area was on, I heard a constant ticking in my room. but this depends on the location of your room.
The rooms were very clean, also the shared bathrooms. The AC was really nice, the wifi worked well with the occasional interruption for a few seconds.

MalaysiaMajority parts of the premise is made up of wood (stairs, upstairs floor, room partitions )and it is not soundproof, guests should tread lightly on the upstairs floor in order not to cause disturbance especially after midnight. The facilities need to be checked from time to time for maintenance. Hand sanitiser is provided in the public area but it’s just an empty bottle!
The location is strategic. The room is clean and tidy. First time experience self service check in/out. Clear instructions given by the staffs virtually. Parking is at the roadside, luckily I managed to have a parking at the premise. Will consider to come back again in the future.

Malaysia1. Hygine problem. The floor wasn't that clean, there were dust on floor which made our feet and socks dirty. 2. Poor sound insulation. This homestay is not suitable for friend gathering because normal peaking voice also can hear from outside and neighbor. In addition, it's partition room in which one terraced house is partitioned into 10 rooms. You can imagine the room is not soundproof enough to hear form outside and neighbours. 3. Feeling insecurity. I think they have staff/tenants staying in the homestay because rice for cooking and used wash dishes can be seen. Because we don't know whether they are staff/tenant or customers, these made us feel insecure and uncomfortable. We also feel insecure about the bathroom since it's shared and the door is low quality as it's often off track. If you think you don't care of these problems you can just choose to stay here. 4. Unstable water pressure. Although water heater is provided, but the water sometimes is low when showering.
I like the air-conditioning is working well, bed are comfortable. Water dispenser is provided, no worry about to get hot and cold drinking water. Staff also fast in processing our requests.
