Dina and Robert welcomed us in with warmth and kindness and made us feel very comfortable during our stay! They went above and beyond to help us with our experience at the national park by answering questions - Robert has lots of knowledge - and by being friendly faces. They also organize private tours with skilled tour guides for those travelling in a small group. Breakfast was yummy and the dinners that Dina made when we requested them were delicious. The location of the homestay is great, a short walk to the entrance of the park. The room I booked was clean and comfortable with a fan and private bathroom. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! It is very affordable and an invaluable experience :)

U get exactly what they advertising. A very basic cheap Homestay, which is exactly like the pictures. But what makes this place so amazing are the owners. They really want to help u and ensure that you have a good time. The breakfast is really good and when you go for the selfcooked Dinner it will also not dissepoint in the slightest. They can also organize Tours for you with a Guide which enables you to go to caves with a very small group which was great. All in all if you looking for a basic but heartwarming great Homestay this is the one!

Bathroom has to be better. Sink was not working (no water) and mirror was totally broken. The toilet flush doesn’t work so you have to pour water manually. Toilet not comfortable either.

Dina is a very nice person. She really cares about the person staying and prepares good breakfast. Very good considering the price.

No hot shower

The hostress of the homestay was extremely friendly and hospitable. We stayed for three nights in a row and booked dinner for three days. The dinners were delicious; Dina is a great chef. She is also very talented in singing and dancing, and she is happy to share her life with us, making our stay in Mulu a very wonderful and memorable experience.

I had a lovely stay in D-Cave, it’s a unique experience. We were able to try traditional dress, dance and had so much fun with karaoke. Dina also cooks delicious food, she's very caring and smiling all the time. The homestay is very close to the national park. After every day, I was happy to come back "home", thanks for everything!

Staying at D Cave was the highlight of our stay in Bornéo. Dima is really friendly and welcoming, she organised a local dance for us and karaoke night! We got to try traditional dancing as well, and found some great friends among the other guests. Everyone was taking part during the karaoke which made it one of our most memorable nights in Asia. Breakfast was also cooked for us every morning and help was provided in organising our activities and expeditions to the national park. The stay is also only 5-10m walk from the park entrance and airport making it very convenient. I really recommend staying with this Homestay while you explore Mulu.

The location is perfect, is 10min easy walk from the airport to the home stay, and very close to the national park too. Dina is always there to advise you and to help you in whatever you need, and to make you feel you are part of the family, the room is comfortable and spacious. Food is amazingly good!

There was no hot water in the shower. However, due to hot weather it wasn't a problem at all.

Truly homestay, perfect host (Dina), friendly and helped us to plan all activities in Mulu, so they make sense in our itinerary. Breakfast was very nice (we even had a mangos from garden behind the house), you can order a dinner which was also tasty. Boiled water for drinking available. We were invited to a celebration in local school one evening and it was very nice and interesting experience. We can definitely recommend this homestay if you want a personal approach :-)

This was the best homestay we've stayed in - Dina was so warm and friendly and really made us feel at home! She knew how to organise excursions and she even showed us some Orang Ulu clothing and dancing :)

Everything was really enjoyable

I had an amazing 3-night stay at D'Cave Mulu Homestay. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and provided a peaceful atmosphere. What made it even better was the joyful ambiance with soothing music playing. Dina's hospitality was exceptional—she puts love into everything she offers, from the delicious and varied breakfasts, ranging from eggs to pancakes, to the availability of a delightful dinner for just 15 ringgit. It truly felt like a home away from home!

We liked everything

We stayed at D'Cave Homestay for four nights and had a wonderful time! Dina is a great host! We had so much fun staying there. She prepared nice dinner and breakfast (we especially liked the pancakes!). Dina joined us for dinner in the evening, we had interesting conversations, she showed us a local dance and we did some karaoke. She made us feel like home and helped us organize some tours. Location is in walking distance to the airport and the park entrance which is a huge plus. We will certainly remember our stay here! Thank you Dina!
