Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Malaysianot so much the host's problem but the entrance into the parking lot can be a bit tight and the direction given by Waze was a tad confusing when turning out from Jalan Utara exit heading towards KL direction. Need to keep left at the federal highway exit and turn up to the flyover immediately after exit.

South AfricaThe security guards at the reception were very slow. A glass partition to the shower would have been nice to prevent the whole bathroom getting wet. Kitchen could be a bit better arranged, in terms of crockery - not ideally equipped for any self-catering. Only expensive Japanese eateries in the building, have to go out or order in for meals.
The view (especially the sunrise) from the room were great! The room is spacious, comfortable. The kitchen was basic, but has a fridge and kettle. The hosts were welcoming and communicated well.
