Great location near train/bus station. Easy 15 minute walk to old town area and shrines. Many small restaurants in the area. Buffet breakfast offered Western and Japanese options. Staff quite helpful and pleasant. Room smaller but quite adequate with nice kitchen facilities. Beds very comfortable with thick futons on raised platforms. Shower and bathtub worked well. Whole place incredibly clean.

Above expectations! Very large rooms, especially by Japanese standards. Super friendly and helpful staff. Free drinks in the stocked refrigerator in the room, a good breakfast and you can use the washing machines for free. Our room was also ready upon arrival (an hour earlier than check-in time) - we could move in straight away. At some Japanese hotels they charge an extra fee if your room is ready but it is not officially check-in time yet. I would definitely stay here again!

Another set of curtains between the "garden/theater room" and the actual room would make it darker inside the room in the morning. I think people in Japan like waking up with the sun, but I don't :)

Craziest hotel i've ever been to! The room itself had a separate living room, a huge room with kitchen, eating table and 2 double beds and to top it all off there is another huge room with theater inside that has a surround sound system and a funny outside looking area with seating.

The breakfast spread could be better. The stairs leading to the check in lobby, might be tricky for elderly & disabled.

There’s no elevator to enter the hotel. Thank goodness the staff offered to help with luggages, but they could get hurt lugging heavy stuff for guests. If I may suggest, please place a sign for guests who are using the laundry facility. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Some guests left their clothing sitting in the dryer way past the time. Out of respect for others, I didn’t touch and take out clothes that were not mine. However, I also couldn’t get my clothes out of the washer because other people’s clothes were sitting idle in the dryer. Please place sign for guests to come back promptly and remove clothes out of washer and dryer on time or staff will set aside their clothes. In my humble opinion, staff shouldn’t have to take the extra work to babysit people’s clothing, but sometimes guests are not always courteous to others and will leave belongings until it’s convenient for them to return and collect them. Thank you.

This was my family’s second time in Takayama. We stayed for 3 nights . When we first entered the room, our reaction was “Wow!!!” The room was pleasantly huge!!! It was very clean and everything still looked very brand new. The tatami room was a bonus for my little girl who likes to run around. The breakfast was good and a wide variety. The ladies/ staff who helped with breakfast were excellent and very helpful. The young man who checked us in was very gracious. We got to Takayama around noon and he let us check in early without making us feel like we were imposing on them much too early than check in time. There’s free internet and Netflix. The location was excellent. It’s a very short walk to the train/ bus station and to the old town Takayama. We walked everywhere. This will be our home again next time we come back.

Everything was amazing... This place was just great for the price!. It's basically in front of the train station. The room was comfortable and exceptionally clean; it included a small kitchen, a nice shower, and all the necessary personal amenities. The hotel has 2 free washers and dryers, which was a great option for me. The staff were extremely courteous too. Finally, the breakfast buffet was nice; it's more of a Japanese style breakfast, but there are some "western/ continental" choices as well. Overall, I can't complain about this place at all, I'd recommend it for anyone visiting Takayama.

Clean and relatively spacious rooms. Good location if you travel by train. We travelled by car, but they still had pretty convenient solution for paid parking. All Takayama attractions are a (longer) walk away.

The reception is on the second floor accessible only by stairs which didn’t bother me, but some with heavy luggage may find it difficult.

Spacious rooms, good size fridge and freezer, kitchen has sink, cooktop, microwave and plenty of kitchen utensils. Lovely big bathroom with bath tub. Free sake tasting and free drinks in the fridge when arriving. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and very good.

It was a fantastic hotel with everything you need, even a washer and dryer. The breakfast was abundant and delicious and the people working there went above and beyond for us and our 2 smaller kids! Great beds and shower. A real experience in a beautiful town! It was super close from the station as well and with restaurants and a supermarket close. There is a Chinese restaurant which was fantastic as well.

The hotel exceeded all expectations! The staff, particularly Mihoubi Yahia, were incredibly kind and accommodating. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and their thoughtful gesture of decorating for our honeymoon with hearts made our stay even more special. Staying here was absolutely worth it, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan!

The safety light was too bright and the room couldn't be dark. It was like sleeping under a full moon. But you can get used to it and not a major problem.

Excellent location close to the train station. The staff is very friendly and spoke good english, the room was spacious and the amenities are excellent including free laundry. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious.I strongly recommend this hotel.

There is a internal elevator but you need to carry luggage up one floor - staff will help if needed.
