Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaGreat sized room with comfortable bed. Loved the eco friendly nature of this hotel. There were no toothbrushes/ cups etc in the room but they were readily available near the lifts. Would minimise waste. Room was a great size and the location was also great. The shower was the best!

Good location close to Kyoto Shiyakusho-Mae station. New and beautiful interior, very nice room. Walking distance to Nishiki market and Pontocho. Complimentary brakfast is small but tasty, and together with some extra items bought from supermarket it's a decent meal. You can also take the breakfast away which was very handy when we left early and travelled forward by train.

United KingdomThere is neither an electric kettle nor provision of coffee or tea in the room, so unable to have hot beverages while in the room. Beverages need to be bought from the cafe downstairs or nearby convenience stores. Staff are polite and helpful but lack interaction.
Great location, within walking distance to local attractions. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful. There is complimentary breakfast and free bottled water on request.

NetherlandsI thought the breakfast was a bit small. But it was free so I suppose I can't complain too much. I would have appreciated a universal power socket in the room like some of the other hotels I stayed at in Japan did. I only had one travel adaptor with me, which meant I could only charge one device at a time. I couldn't cast from my device to the TV - chromecast or similar would have made my stay more enjoyable.
The location was good and easy to get to and from. I liked that the toilet and shower were separate. The room was clean and tidy, and I appreciated that the bed had space underneath for my luggage. Staff were friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsBreakfast was poor. It's not a problem that it's simple but the items could have been of a little higher quality, the boiled eggs could have been not very cold. While the room was great there were no place to hang towels. Despite these small issues we had a great stay.
Very modern hotel with clean and spacious rooms. Amazing shower. Good location close for main sights of the city and close to bus and metro stops.

SpainIn the best area of Kyoto, the hotel is very new and it is the only Hotel in Japan I have been to with such a good quality/price ratio. The services were impeccable and the rooms were very big, I wish all of Japan could offer such a service. I'll go back as soon as I set my foot back in Kyoto.
