Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWhen you put the location in google maps, it takes you to the side of the building and there’s no markings to help. We had to walk around until we found the entrance. The washer being one per floor. Some people took forever to get their clothes.

LuxembourgThere was an intense mold smell in the room, we had quite a few challenges to sleep at night with the mold smell and the overall room temperature, humidity and mold. The rooms are small and the bathroom looks like a disposable one you would find on a public space. Overall for the price you pay there are way better options in the city for the same price and better quality. The location is ok but not great.
The staff is really amazing and always tries to help as much as they can, thank you all for the amazing work and client attention.

Taiwan1. The location is a little bit far from the Hamamatsucho station especially when you carry the suitcases, but still acceptable. 2. Only the room with normal double bed has the working desk but the bed is small for 2 people. The room with large double bed only has a small round table. It is a difficult trade-off for selection.

United KingdomCos i did not put the two names of the guest in each room . I onky put the lead name for the twin bedroom. I have paid free breakfast for the room as what stated in the booking.com. They only give us one breakfast free for each room in the duration of our stay. Isn’t that ironic you booked twin room for two people . It should be uderstood that there are two oeople staying in that room and should be two people have free breakfast. I was quite annoyed with that. Cos i paid for the room with free breakfast!
