The only small complaint was the shower set up. Separate top rain shower and separate hose with shower head were at opposite ends of shower cubicle. The hose was set too low in wall to wash body so effectively only good to wash hair while bending down. Well set up showers are important to me due to back ache and it always exasperates me when they are so glaringly disfunctional!

Outside of my window there was a strange noise when it was windy, maybe from roof or shutters, loud and squeaky. Hard to sleep sometimes.

Its was in the old town,conveniently located near the train station and close to the ferry port. There were numerous restaurants near by The hotel was well managed and maintained and the staff was very friendly. They provided an AMAZING breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was an elevator (tiny) but it served its purpose.

Everything, excellent service, friendly staff, adequate breakfast. Very homely with lots of beautiful plants in foyer. What I loved the most was the location, couldn't believe our luck, it was literally across the road from the station. Ferry was only a short walk away as well.

We had a trip from the USA to Italy for 10 days. We stayed at the Plaza Hotel in Salerno for 3 nights. It is a wonderful hotel and one of the best hotels that we’ve been. Very convenient location. About 2-3 minutes of walk distance from the train station and bus station, 5 minutes of walk distance from the Ferry for Amalfi or Positano, walk distance from the beaches, Old town, new town and downtown of Salerno. Very clean facility including inside the room and public areas. The Hotel provides great breakfast. Artist style designed restaurant. The hotel staffs are very friendly.

This is a very conveniently located hotel. It's 2 minutes walk from the railway station and 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminal. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is good.

The location of the hotel is excellent. A 4 minute walk from the train station - literally across the main street from the station - and at the start of the pedestrian walkway with lots of shops etc. Breakfast was substantial and good. Definitely recommend if you are heading to Salerno.

Excellent location – very close to the train station; bus stops & harbor to catch ferries. The hotel was clean. The balcony of our room overlooked the main promenade so we could people watch. It was very quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious – with a wide variety of fresh items, and a member of the hotel staff who made coffee drinks to order. The hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. They assisted us in buying bus tickets; made restaurant recommendations; even directed us to a self-serve laundromat so we could wash our clothes. The staff demonstrated pride in the hotel. We will carry fond memories of our stay at the Hotel Plaza!

The Elevator was scary. It needs to have sensors to understand if somebody is still entering or exiting this. I almost got stuck and it made me more cautious to decide whether to use the elevator or not.

So, let me tell you about this awesome hotel my family and I stayed at in Salerno, Italy. First off, the location was killer! But you know what really made our stay special? The staff. These guys were like the friendliest bunch of people ever! They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and made us feel right at home. The room was no joke. Spacious, squeaky clean, and so dang comfy! We slept like babies every night. Oh, and the breakfast buffet? Italian Style! They had enough to fill your appetite. All in all, it was a family trip to remember, thanks to that amazing hotel.
