Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNapoliamo Guest House hosts Mario and Annamarie were extremely kind and generous with their time and attention. Mario was there to greet us on our arrival and provide recommendations. Annamarie was sweet and attentive. We enjoyed her morning coffee and her warm hug goodbye when it was time for us to leave Napoli and the Napoliamo Guest House.

NetherlandsWe had an amazing experience staying at Napoliamo! From the first communication with Mario, we felt that there was someone who will look out for us and make our stay the best possible (he even offered to have a joint Whatsapp group with our son to coordinate). Besides the beautiful and modern room (it was even cleaned up every day), at a great location, Mario was available to answer questions and solve problems throughout our 3 day stay. From giving us exact instructions on how to reach the apartment, explaining everything to us patiently and with humor, arranging for transportation who really took care of us (even came up to help us with our luggage), and giving restaurant/activities tips which greatly assisted us in having a more productive and pleasant stay in beautiful Napoli!

The staff here made you feel home. Both of the manager and the front desk Italian lady are so friendly even though the latter speaks little English. They had the best Italian breakfasts and they offered us free unexpectly. The location is very safe while you have to use multiple keys on elevator, front gate and your own room door. It is walking distance to many of city scenes and hundreds of restaurants. I higly recommended this hotel.

CanadaApril 2024 stayed four nights, Pilo Daniele room. Napoliamo guest house is on the third floor of a building with a lift. The reception area is convenient with coffee and a few pastries available and a cooler with refreshments to buy on an honour system. The host was there every morning and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast can be included with booking or purchased on a day by day basis however we did not opt in. Our room was cleaned daily. The street below is very noisy but if you close the windows and shutters it’s quiet enough for getting a good sleep on the comfortable twin beds. We arrived by train to Napoli Centrale and then took the Metro to the University station (only two stops from the terminal).

United StatesWi-Fi can a be a little slow but not bad at all.
Well located with easy access from a main road so you don’t have to drag your luggage across stone streets. Great location with lots of places to eat right around it. The highlight though clearly is Mario who runs the place. Very nice and extremely helpful on whatever advice you may need on your trip to Italy. He is always accessible by WhatsApp. His coworkers, especially the lady that helps with breakfast was very kind as well.

United KingdomAdding some negatives here, we didn't feel there were any issues but maybe for some they will be, eg the lift is very small and could cause some claustrophobia or if you are afraid of heights it may cause you an issue, it is a long way down when peering between the gaps of the lift. We enjoyed it though. Breakfast is just a taster, a small pastry and a coffee, very tasty, its enough when the city is full of food but if you are expecting a huge breakfast you will be disappointed. Probably the biggest downside is that the noise from reception area carries and it can be quite noisy in the bedrooms, there wasn't a lot of noise but you can hear it when there is. There is a large step up into the bathroom, with dodgy knees I found it awkward, and it could be an issue for others.
This is a wonderful place to stay, really convenient. The location is very convenient, located right next to the Metro and a short walk to the various centres of the city. It seems very safe too. We stayed in the twin room which was very large and had space to move around and store suitcases and clothes. The shower was large and had plenty of hot water and with a rain-fall ceiling shower and choice of a hand-held shower head. The bed was very comfortable, not too hard or too soft, we slept very well. There is air-conditioning which was very welcome even though not at full summer temperatures when we were there. The view was into the building middle and nothing amazing but quiet. There was the chance to eat a small breakfast of pastries and a coffee if you wish, just something to line your stomach before hitting the pizza restaurants. There was an honesty fridge for taking juices and listing what you did take if you need, with a lot of choice. The owners were delightful, so very friendly and could not have been more helpful. They sorted out a taxi from the airport for when we arrived very late and back again when leaving very early. They had suggestions for restaurants and helped with directions. We felt very welcome and like family. When we do visit Naples again we will stay here.

United StatesMario was a fantastic host! He provided clear instructions on how to find the hotel and made sure someone was there to welcome us (later arrival). Mario shared some fun touristy spots that we would not have found ourselves! The hotel is clean and well taken care of. The rooms are spacious. Give the air con a while to get working and you’ll feel the room cool down. There’s a cooler in the common area, full of drinks you can grab and go (for a very fair price you pay when you check out). Loved how convenient this was! Breakfast: typical Italian breakfast with coffee, pastries, yogurt, etc. Some previous reviews complained about noise in the morning due to breakfast preparation, but we stayed the room next to the kitchen and heard nothing. So many great places to eat nearby. Great location. Looking forward to staying here again!!

GermanyVery central and good neighbourhood. Good to reach and start all the tours downtown. Also close to the mall for ferrys to Capri or Ischia. Breakfast place is the privat libary. You can read those books, chat with Mario and also the lady who served our breakfast. There is an elevator in the house, so you do not have to carry the bagage. The rooms are nicely and individuall furnitured. Although very central it was not noisy.

Great central location in the old quarter near to many art galleries and the infamous narrow cobbled streets. Accommodation is in a large traditional building on the 3rd floor with a good lift, we used the stairs apart from when we arrived and left with luggage!! Rooms are clean and well serviced. Mario and Annamaria are both absolutely lovely happy to help with planning trips, taxis etc.

The accommodation was lovely and just as it appears in the photos. Mario and Annamaria were so welcoming and Mario provided great recommendations for food and attractions. Annamaria was there to greet us every morning with coffee and pastries and a warm smile. The location was perfect and really close to the port which suited our day trips to the islands and Sorrento. It was also close to lovely restaurants and shops. We were delighted with our stay.

United KingdomI could not fault the property and I would recommend it to anyone.
We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. Mario & Anna Maria greeted us with coffee and pastries whilst talking us through different parts of the local areas. He gave us a map with many useful recommendations for dinner & routes to walk around. He stayed in touch with us via WhatsApp to answer any questions we had whilst we were out and about. Our room was big and bright with everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean and serviced every day. When it was our time to leave, Anna Maria made sure we’d had breakfast whilst Mario arranged our airport taxi. When we left we had a big hug and were sad to say goodbye. Overall the hotel is in a great location. We travelled to both Rome and Sorrento for day trips with ease, the metro is down the street and the port is a short walk away.

GermanyYou can hear a bit of noise from the street, but it's not that big of a problem and it gets constant. If you have A/C on, then you hear it even less.
Extraordinary hospitality that reflects the kindness of people in Naples! Mario and Annamaria were very kind, accommodating, and friendly. They helped us with anything we needed and offered us free morning snacks (for us a perfect breakfast). Truly amazing people! The room itself was clean and comfortable. A/C kept the room cool on the warm days. Although the room was on the street side and I'm very picky about the noise, it wasn't that loud. The building is very well protected and it has an elevator. The location was just perfect for us since we liked to walk around the city. It's just a few minutes to the city center, cozy bars, and a restaurant with the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever eaten. Bus shuttle from/to the airport stops 10 minutes away. Ideal base for those who like to walk around the city. We would book this accommodation again.

SloveniaTo be honest - nothing!
We arrived very early in the morning and they gave us the room and breakfast much earlier than they exactly should, considering check in rules. Our room (double room) was very clean, spacious and all that you need for a weekend trip abroad. Staff & owner - they are gorgeous, went above their way and even without mentioning, the breakfast was provided every morning! Location of the place is great as well, very short walking distance to everything (historic c,shopping, spanish q) within 10-15min.
