There were constructions going on during the trip so we were not able to open the windows due to the dust. The fridge was unfortunately not working and the AC remote had no batteries in it.

The bed was comfortable. When we needed change to use the vending machine, the receptionist was able to help us. In term of location, it is quite close to the Duomo so that was also nice to walk around.

Lady at checkin was really nice and the room was spacious and clean. We did not have any view whatsoever but we only stayed for one night. Ortigia was a lovely part to stay, but next time I would have stayed somewhere close to the Amphitheater in Siracuse, since it was quite a walk to get there.

When we asked about driving around Ortigia all we received was a generic description-obviously a message sent to everyone. As we were a bit stressed regarding the ZLT zone, we asked more specific questions and we were reminded that this was a Bed& Breakfast -and we should take that into consideration when making our review.

This was a good budget option so there are no complaints.

This was a good budget option in a fantastic location on Ortigia. The room was clean & functional and the staff very helpful. We enjoyed a great breakfast which at 9 euros was value for money. The drinks fridge was useful to cool water, beer etc. This is a budget option in Ortiga and good value.

The lift was a bit scary, but great for managing luggage. The shower stall was tiny but this is somewhat common in regional Italy.

The staff were lovely, the location was close to many attractions and the room was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed using the balcony and taking in the view. Ortigia is a gem and worth exploring.

Placed on an antique building the Maison Ortigia benefits of various amenities that provide the client some comfort,such as A\C and a good Wi-Fi connection.Unfortunately the windows are not the best in terms of noise cancellation and isolation.

The location is definitely the biggest plus on this property,placed in the heart of Ortigia we were able to reach every local restaurant and main city attractions

There is a lot of scaffolding and we were lucky they gave us a room without it. Our air conditioning didn’t work and they tried fixing the remote but then went off shift so we couldn’t talk to them. They said they would ask for discount.

Good location with everything in the old town within walking distance. The staff were helpful, allowing us to leave bags until room was ready. Renovated room with nice bathroom and all clean & tidy.

We had booked a room with a terrace but unfortunately there was scaffolding up when we stayed so we could not use it. Just bad luck as apparently the work was finishing the following week.

I requested a room with balcony, but we can not get out to balcony because of under construction. They should have informed it in advance since they sell a room with a balcony. No refund to down grade the room

They are under construction on the outside and none of the balconies could be used. My view was scaffolding and mesh. Now I would not have minded this much if they would only have said this was going on.
