How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Dear Federica, we had such a lovely time in Verona. Our hotel was not far from the central station and also not far from all the attractions we wanted to see in Verona. We could just walk out the door and reach everything in 10mins +/-. Thanks for being so kind to us and caring. Entering with the code and having access whenever we wanted to a lovely, cute and clean room/apartment was really convenient and perfect to us. Furthermore the apartment was quiet and good for recharging our energy after a long day. Coffee, Snacks, a fridge, Wifi and also the possibility to connect to Netflix was something we did not expect at all. Thumbs up for that as well. We will definitely come back to Verona again and would recommend to anyone to be part of this lovely experience we had. Mille grazie and best regards, Renda & Melissa

Beautiful, stylish and exceptionally clean. Fantastic location to see Verona from. Restored stone building offering modern luxury. Very quiet. Check in is tricky - follow the instructions and all will be good. Brilliant owners saved the day. Favorite hotel on this Italian trip.

It was great for one night. Probably a bit too small for us if we were staying longer but for the price it was great value.
Very clean and everything we needed for an overnight stay. Location was great for us. Easy access to Verona centre and then about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Access was easy and nice communication through WhatsApp to make sure everything was ok.

A cleaning service more than once every 3 days would be nice.

The rooms are quite small. We asked the sofa bed to be made up as had two pregnant ladies that wanted seperate beds but they said they only make the sofa bed up in extreme circumstances as there's a risk of getting hurt. We only booked that room for 2 people so I can see why they didn't want to make up the sofa bed but the reasoning was odd as you could book for 3 people and it might be unsafe. The rooms are quite small, I think I was expecting bigger rooms from the photos. There is a green safety light that is extremely bright and on all night and we struggled with that. I think one of the rooms was meant to have a balcony but this was not the case.
Easy access. Just needed a code so in a big group people could come and go as they pleased. Very clean. Bathrooms were nice and very nice showers!

Unfortunately, there is no parking space around the hotel. Since there is no reception or any available staff at the hotel, it may be difficult to get in touch in case of any needs...

Not a hotel as described by Booking.com, no reception to answer questions regarding attractions, directions, restaurants etc. 2nd bedroom was hot because the air conditioner wasn’t working. Not even a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge although we had arrived at night and knew nothing of Verona. Didn’t feel welcome.I wouldn’t recommend it.

Few issues: WiFi was supposed to be available and free. In the room instructions page there was a note saying "No WiFi available". When I claimed they provided the password to connect and said the note was not updated. By my second day they did not updated the note. Second issue was a double booking with other customer who showed up during the second day. They were instructed to our same room and they also provided the access code to our room. Admin claimed they gave the customer a different room but they were denying the mistake. I saw the confirmation note they send to the other customer and it was indeed to our room with our access code. I asked them to change the code and they did it inmediately, but they never recognized their mistake and blamed the other customer.
Breakfast not included. The rooms are nice, recently renovated. Location is great, close to the city center and train station,

Cleaning stuff did not work well. They even did not change the bedsheet during our 6 days of stay. Toilet was not cleaned at all during our stay
