How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We had a wonderful stay in this perfectly located apartment in Rome. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking, complete with a variety of spices for our dishes, as well as coffee and tea. Paulo was incredibly responsive to our messages through WhatsApp and communicated with us clearly in English, which was greatly appreciated.We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Rome. The convenience and warmth of this place made our trip unforgettable.

The only problem is that there are no lift. But we was prepared for this.

Nothing to dislike but maybe an extra arm chair in the seating area for relaxing at night time.
Loved the location about 15 mins walk from main railway station and metro. Plenty of restaurants nearby also shop not too far. Lovely clean apartment three good bedrooms one with bunk beds. Welcome pack of bread and some treats was left for us which was very nice. We arrived a bit early but we were allowed to leave our luggage in which was great.

Having no elevators
I really enjoyed how friendly and accommodating the housekeeper Ramil was. He was so incredibly nice and even helped us bring all our bags up to our hotel since we didn’t have any elevators in the building.

Hot water - it was a bit hit and miss at shower time. The living areas were small - it didn't bother us because we were out and about but if you were around the apartment a lot it could get annoying. The stairs are mentioned in the description...
The location was great and central - could walk to most attractions. The apartment was not facing the street so was quiet. The bedrooms were generous in size, nice furniture/decor, beds comfortable and the bed linen was good. There were lots of extras in the kitchen like sugar, salt, oil, coffee (and wine!) etc that meant we didn't have to buy extra things for those one of meals that we prepared.

The shower is a bit hit and miss...but not a big deal for us....There are alot of steps to the apartment...but that is advertised

There are a lot of stairs but manageable.
There were separate bedrooms for a larger family and AC that works!!! It’s a quiet building for undisturbed sleeps.

Unfortunately the lift was broken so we had four flights of stairs to negotiate. However we were made aware of this prior to booking

lots of stairs up but we knew that, water temperature was erratic,

We didn't find out until the day we arrived that the elevator was not operable and we were on the forth floor, it was a workout getting luggage up and down the narrow stairs.
The location was central to restaurants and shopping, it was clean and had everything we needed.

The air conditions didn't warm the rooms. Instead we had radiators but only for 9hours , as Roman rules of procedure. There wasn't enough hot water for bathing. I mean it was 1minute hot water, then the water was getting cold and then you had to wait pretty much time for getting hot again. 🥶
A lovely , clear , comfortable apartment with great location ( 10 mins by feet from Fontana and 10mins from Colosseum). Metro station was near. Paolo ( the owner ) is very kind. The apartment is full equipped.

Whole apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Location is perfect for visiting all the sights around Rome and only a short walk from the Termini. Paulo was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions I had. Plenty of Restraunts Bars and shops within a couple of minutes walk.
