Our flight was cancelled and the Hotel Maggiore was one of the options not far from the airport. We only needed a clean place to stay for the night, but I would definitely have stayed there for longer. It was a pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable, the staff was extremely welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and included freshly baked goods and great coffee. There are some very nice restaurants 5 minutes away. It may be particularly interesting to people who like to see more of the city outside touristic locations.

The wifi signal was extremely poor and I could not use it but it was alright because I have mobile data.

Exceptionally clean and very welcoming. The room was superbly convenient, the air conditioning system worked well. It is a long walk away from the center but if you don’t feel like walking, you can take one of the many busses which stop just a few minutes away.

Super nice staff. Very helpful. Easy to take the bus into the center of town. Plenty of parking. Perfect for a one night stay.

The only negative is that there was no air conditioning. The staff explained that the a/c had been turned off 5 days prior to our arrival because the outside temperature had dropped. However, during our stay the outside temperature increased but the a/c remained off. This made the room uncomfortable. It’s a little far from the center of the city (approximately 40 minutes walking), but we knew that.

Hotel Maggiore is really nice! It’s small and very comfortable! The lady at the reception desk was very courteous and kind. They offer a nice breakfast.

Nothing really - the hotel itself is excellent value. It's out of the town centre though, so maybe not really suited to exploring Bologna's Centro Antico, unless you are willing to commute the short bus trip daily ..... which is actually not too difficult.

I suppose you could call Hotel Maggiore an airport hotel - but if so, it's the best one we've ever stayed in. Very clean and comfortable, with an extremely helpful and friendly staff. We also appreciated the excellent and well priced breakfast.

Yes . Good location if wanting to park a car with 10mins No 23 bus ride nearby to get to Bologna City . Good breakfast with friendly staff to help with any of your queries.

Hotel is not bad, part of the furniture is quite weird, for example a table instead of one of the nightstands, which came in handy, though. Location is good, centre is less than 3 km away, parking on premises is plentiful, They gave us a room with a small balcony which was a nice bonus. Bed was comfy, bathroom was all right.

The hotel is very far away from the city center, and even the bus stops are 5-10 minute walks along a rather busy street.

The room was quite luxurious and well-handled. The staff was also very attentive and professional.

Staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel is easy to reach and not far from the city centre. Despite the proximity to the road, the room is well soundproofed. There is also a free minibar and a kettle with which to prepare coffe and tea.

City tax pay at the property (previously we were not notified from booking and after we arrived also from hotel reception). there was nothing around the hotel around area (caffe shops, market…Poor lobby, lack of facilities.

Quite expensive. Room is a bit hot and I couldn't get the air conditioning to work. Be aware there are some extra fees you'll pay.

A bit far from the city center, the check-out was at 11:00 am but at 10:45 they were knocking on the door, which I think is not polite.

The only disadvantage is the distance from the city center, however it's close to several bus stations.

The room was very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. They had upgraded me to a double room instead of a single, that was very nice - a huge bed all to myself! I was there during winter, and the room was very warm and comfortable. The bathroom had all the amenities, was spacious and very clean. There is a big supermarket right next to the hotel where you can get food and whatever you need. It is also close to the bus station for the airport bus (line 944), which is extremely useful for people who need to go to the airport. I really appreciated that I was able to check in a little earlier because I arrived earlier than planned in Bologna. All in all, it was a great hotel!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was my first time staying somewhere by myself in a foreign city and I could not have had a better experience. Whenever I needed a hand they were very quick to support! I would definitely come back upon visiting Bologna again ☺️

Some renovation noises may start from 8am, but that’s only for good, and hopefully will not last forever.

Our room was great (we were on the first floor) - spacious, freshly renovated, the sheets were awesome - new, white & crunchy, the kettle worked perfectly, the shower was great with very good water pressure, the towels were new & white. We’ve had a great sleep in our room and it was really comfortable. Some hotel renovation works start 8am, but we were aware and fine with that.
