How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The sink in the bathroom was slow to drain. The shower was a bit unruly
Brilliant location. We booked a room with a view and it was a great view. The rooftop bar is amazing. Excellent selection for breakfast

One of the towels was missing (in all the days we stayed there). The cleaning staff didn't wait for us to check out and they started to prepare the room for the next guests; that meant that she put my luggage with the wheels on the bag with my computer.
The location is great. The reception is present when you need them. The Sun Terrace (open for guests until 6 p.m.) is amazing. The room is really big.

Great value for the money. Right in the heart of the main pedestrian area. Easy walking distance for the central train stain, even when carrying small suitcases. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a night or two in Palermo

Windows are transparent and oriented to windows of other rooms so it's not possible to open it and to keep the privacy. I didn't like the corridors of the hotel, they are going up and down, with stairs, which is not suitable for the baggage.
Great location in the very center of the Palermo. Rooms are big and very comfortable. Very clean. Breakfast is very nice, but I missed olives and for example grilled vegetables. Taxi and bus station to airport is very near. Hotel is in quit area.

In the first day the heating in the room was a bit problematic but it was then solved.
Staff was very nice, a special thanks to Giuseppe who has been very helpful along the day. Clean room, nice neighborhood.

Our room lacked drawers for storing clothes, so a second suitcase stand would have been extremely helpful. Also, while the hotel has signage reminding guests to maintain quiet in the corridors, the floors had a hard covering (this seems to be standard in Italy) and closing room door securely created a surprisingly loud noise.
Overall, we liked the facility a lot. A surprisingly large room, tasteful but not overly fancy; strong emphasis on sustainability (such as soap dispensers with humorous reminders to use less water); extensive breakfast offered in the rooftop terrace, which has a spectacular view of the city center; and a cheerful, professional, and responsive front-desk staff.

Floors are like labyrinth. Also, one of my colleague couldn't come because of the pneumonia and hotel didn't offer to refund the already payed room.
The breakfast is very nice, with more sweet then salty options. I would like to have more vegetables, for example grilled as well as olives as something typical for Sicily.

No fruits and no olives for breakfast. It is wierd that hotel in Mediteraninan doesn't offer olives. Also I didnt like the lobbyies cause they are like labyrinth.
Breakfast is nice. It was on the roof, which is excelent. Location is perfect! In the center of famous things but very silent zone.

The shower went a bit hot and cold. The room was very hot and we couldn’t get the Aircon to cool it down. A lot of noise from the streets, but that’s not the fault of the Hotel - it’s very central and there’s lots going on.
Great central location. Brilliant view from the top terrace. Friendly helpful staff - were able to provide everything we asked for.

Rooms are not quiet - you can hear neighbours and all noises from corridors and streets. There was no hot water in my room (4th floor) due to maintenance since the very first day. But when I complained the staff offered me a different room and everything was fine - they responded really quickly and professionally.
Location - right in the heart of the Old Town. Very comfy beds and pillows. Nice breakfast with the view.
