We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe front desk staff were generally friendly but never provided much help. They would smile and be nice but always a bit aloof and not very interested in genuinely solving a problem or providing advice. It's hard to describe exactly, but we felt a bit like they didn't think we were rich enough to spend much time on. The dinner was extremely overpriced and easily the worst meal we had in Italy. They give you free bread and glass of champagne at the beginning, then inform you that everyone is expected to order at least two main dishes to cover the cost of the bread and champagne. I am vegetarian and there were not two vegetarian main dishes, which displeased the waiter.
The rooms were quite big, with a full sized tub and shower. The housekeeping staff is incredible. They did a great job and were very kind. The hotel itself is in a good location and is very comfortable.

South KoreaThe hotel has a history of 150 years, located at the entrance of Ortygia Island. When we arrived, the road was very crowded, but with the kind guidance of the hotel staff, we were able to park in the hotel parking lot. The breakfast on the terrace was very luxurious and had a rich menu. All the staff were friendly and professional.

United StatesDecorated with marble and antiques and chandeliers throughout, takes you back in time. Breakfasts on the terrace with a view of the waterfront were amazing each morning and the service is impeccable. Location is perfect for exploring the area. The hotel has a beach for a fee which we did not use as temps in Spring are cooler. Would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

United StatesThis hotel is perfectly situated by a marina in a quiet area of the island, yet within walking distance to everything. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and located on the top floor overlooking the water. Our rooms were beautiful with all the wood and tile/marble floors. This hotel is where we will definitely stay on our next trip to Ortigia.

United States1. We were not allowed to control AC in room 2. No glasses plastic or other in the room 3. Mini single water bottle for 2 people to share per day. 4. Did not care for the strong diffuser smell all over 5. Minor issue- No conditioner supplied, fortunately the front desk found one. I thought all 5* hotels offer it.

MaltaRoom was a bit dated, and can do with a revamp. Also, I think the rooms have very thin walls, and we could hear movement on top of us, as well as from outside the room and nextdoor.
Lovely hotel in the middle of Ortigia, right by the sea. Also super central to shops, the market and restaurants. Hotel room was a bit dated, but the lobby area room waa gorgeous. The breakfast was basic, but good. Lovely open views in the breakfast / dining area.
