How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Like many hotels in Italy, there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which is a shame and would add to the room comfort if provided. Again, like many hotels in Italy, the TV did not have many English channels (just the usual BBC World news, CNBC, Bloomberg etc). It would be nice to provide some more of the English channels.
All the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is in a fantastic location, being close to a few of the main piazzas, churches, the arena, museums and historic bridges, plus our room was very quiet, a decent size and comfortable. Lots of great restaurants & cafes everywhere. The standard breakfast was good, with a nice selection of food and well staffed with very friendly and efficient staff. The terrace was lovely for drinks (we did not get a chance to stay long, due to the poor weather the week we were in Verona). The hotel also has a nice comfortable bar in the reception area.

We didn't like the menu for the dining room and no casual type restaurant.
Location and comfort plus positive attitude of the staff. Room was excellent but no heat. A roll-in heater was then supplied.

I'm not really sure, no complaints
Breakfast was excellent, the location was perfect for us. We loved being near Piazza Erbe. The staff was very friendly and quite accommodating. We would stay here again. The bellman was great, he even gave us a history lesson while we were waiting for our taxi. Really enjoyed our stay.

The Due Torri is an exceptional hotel, with elegance and style everywhere. The staff are very attentive and genuinely helpful. There is an air of classical charm here, the lobby seating area is grand and spacious, there was a Jazz quartet one of the evenings which really gave the place a special vibe. The hotel is in a great location in the old city, beside the Basilica San Anastasia, and in a quiet square just off the end of the main high-street. Restaurants abound here, with great variety of cuisine on offer, historical sites are within very short walking distance and the whole atmosphere of this city is at the same time relaxed and alive.

Was all perfect!
This beautiful hotel is close to all attractions like Arena, House of Giulia and also for those who love shopping won’t be disappointed as bringing the bags back to the hotel room is a max 10-15 walk from the main shopping streets. The hotel rooms were clean and I personally loved the wooden floor and the nice reading material before sleep. Lots of love into the details. The hotel bar and the lobby amazing, staff very pleasant and helpful.

Small room. Unfortunately a wedding reception held in the hotel went to the early hours of the morning making sleep impossible . Staff were great and moved us to a quieter room around midnight.

Although the room facing the square was lovely we felt that as a superior/luxury room it could have been a little larger.
We love this hotel and would only stay here when in Verona. The location is fantastic and the sense of history wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive with a particular word for our old friend Franco; don't let him retire! The roof terrace was fantastic and is much better since you provided covers to protect it from the heat.
