Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyIt would be a good idea to put thicker curtains at the windows to exclude the light better
An oasis of peace and tranquillity in the heart of the centre of Pisa, within easy walking distance from the station and the Piazza dei Miracoli. The nuns were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to leave our suitcases after checking out. The breakfast was a little plain, but filling and there was plenty of it, in a communal room where it was great to chat with other guests. It was wonderful to be able to sit in the garden surrounded by perfumed flowers at our own little table after a long day on our feet touring. The garden walls kept the noise and bustle of the nightlife away, but just outside the doors all kinds of restaurants and entertainment were waiting.

United KingdomThere were quite a few mosquitoes so it would have been nice to have some warning of that so we could be prepared. A minor point though as everything was lovely!
The accommodation was very comfortable, the hosts were superb and the location was excellent. We didn’t expect breakfast so that was a lovely bonus!

United KingdomThe breakfast
The breakfast was terrible. Really let them down. No serial, no fresh bread or toast. Packet hard toast butter jam and stale bread with ham was not expected. It's a shame as it really let them down. Everything else was really excellent

United KingdomEverything was lovely but a minor improvement would be if a jug of milk could be provided at breakfast for the British/ American/ Australian guests to have in their tea (there was just milk for coffee in a machine).
Beautiful courtyard garden, the nun who greeted us was very welcoming, it felt very peaceful, secure and safe, perfect location, comfortable bed, there was a lot more for breakfast than I had expected given some of the other reviews and it was very helpful that we could leave luggage between when we checked out and when we needed to leave for the airport.

United KingdomDon’t turn up with a SUV - the access roads are very small / Fiat 500 size The breakfast is pretty basic and unfortunately the coffee machine wasn’t working properly during our stay. The breakfast really did really let down what was otherwise a great place to stay.
Great location - close to the airport - but lovely old town feel Good restaurants and bars very close by - but not noisy Secure Parking - and a lovely garden

United KingdomThe beds were a little small (I'm 6'2"). No drink-making facility in the room. No lounge. Breakfast was quite limited The roads into the site were difficult to negotiate.
The grounds were lovely. The rooms were modern but basic, with a good bathroom. The nuns were very friendly. Car parking was secure.

Lovely place with beautiful garden. A nice midway from the station to the tower. The nuns were lovely and room was clean and tidy. Make sure you have cash for city tax

United KingdomJust a little more ambience in the room would be easy to provide. The hair dryer in my room didn’t work, I borrowed one from reception but was only allowed to keep it for a very short time.
Excellent location only 10-15 minutes walk from the station. Do not follow the route given on google ! Straight up Cordo Italiano then right into San Barnardo, the convent is at the end.

New ZealandStaff were welcoming and location was great for me, 10 mins walk from the train station and pisa tower was within easy walking distance too. It was also a minutes walk from a lovely plazza with typical italian bars. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet, no traffic noise and breakfast was good, fresh bread, coffee meat, pastry and yoghurt. Enough to get you going in the morning.

Sri LankaOn that day, a gang of motorcyclists stayed there and they had been making lots of noises right thought out with consuming alcohol in the garden. Breakfast was very basic, but cannot grumble. We enjoyed that however....
We, as a family loved the place. Nuns were very kind and gave all the information. In fact they were so kind enough to give us the room on our arrival by 10h 30. it was a real plus point.....
