The location was perfect. I fell in love with Ortigia. Casa Calles is in a very good location for parking if you are driving, and for walking around this wonderful island.

- it was quite loud in the evening as there is a bar in the direct vicinity and people were staying in the streets, talking loudly. But it did not last long. At 11pm I could not hear anything anymore.

+ location is perfect + the room/flat is quite big + the balcony + there is everything necessary to cook + Sabrina is a great, gentle and uncomplicated host

We loved Ortigia and hated leaving.

The apartment is one room with kitchenette, table and bed together with attached bathroom. Our apartment was on the second floor with a balconette which was handy for drying clothes. It was perfect for our needs. The apartment is perfectly located literally one minute to restaurants, shops and sites of Ortigia. The supermarket is in the next lane. Sunsets with a granita in hand less than five minutes away. Sabrina met us on arrival and explained the apartment. Communication was easy and Sabrina is very friendly. We arrived and departed by bus which was about a 20 minute walk however it is a flat and pleasant walk.

The apparent was right in the center, the owner was extremely nice and everything was just perfect. And the terrace is amazing! Would recommend, especially if you want to prepare dinner at home:)

Lovely stay in the heart of Ortigia, Sabrina met us to show us the apartment and was a very friendly host who even brought us some fruit from her garden :) Main bedroom with sofa area was large and nice with the high vaulted ceiling, better/bigger than the pictures show. Rooftop Terrace was great, nice sunny spot for breakfast and evening drinks. Overall very clean apartment. Location wise, everything on your doorstep, restaurants, bars, supermarket, perfect for exploring. Good WiFi too!

I loved this place. The decor was so charming. There were magazines and books. There was an umbrella which was nice.to have. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the kitchen suitable for espresso and an omelet. It felt like home. Sabrina was easy to communicate with and was very helpful. I can highly recommend this lovely place and next time I will stay longer.

The lower apartment is much smaller, than it looks on the photos. Both apartments have very similar prices, but when the upper is a great value for that money, the lower apartment should cost much less in my opinion. Additional price for the baby cot was an unpleasent surprice, becouse all of the apartemnts that we visited before offered it for free.

The upper apartment with tarrace is deffinitely worth the money it costs. Spacious, stylish, comfortable. Sabrina, the host, is a very helpful and easygoing person. The location is great as well, in the very heart of Ortigia.

The owner was perfect in communication and welcomed us nicely. The apartment has great decor and is well-equipped. We chose if for the rooftop terrace and were not disappointed. It was so nice having early coffee and late drinks while looking over the village. It's close to the main restaurant areas in the old town. Parking is nearby at the port and easy to manage using the app (in November). Nothing needs to be suggested to make it any better!

The stairs are very steep and exhausting up to the third story apartment. Plus another set of spiral stairs to the roof deck. It would have been helpful if the staff agreed to let us leave our luggage at the apartment before check in.

The pictures displayed in Booking contain a mix of pictures from 2 apartments located in the same building. We were attracted to the apartment with the pictures showing a spacious balcony but we got the room with the narrow balcony. It would be ideal if the pictures on Booking are separate for each accommodation unit.

The location is very good with many restaurants in the area. The room is clean, nicely decorated, spacious and well equipped with everything you need. The staff is very friendly and check-in was easy.

Casa Calles is a clean and well equipped apartment with a lovely rooftop terrace. Sabrina is extremely responsive and helpful, she gave a so many local tips and answered any questions we had during our stay. The location is perfect, 1 minute walk to both supermarket and marina.

This section is more informational rather than something we didn't like. We understand that it's very common for old buildings in parts of Europe to not have elevators, and in most cases, it wouldn't be a problem. But it would be helpful to know about the semi spiral staircase in the description of the apartment because of people with disabilities, elderly, or guests with heavier luggage.

Sabrina was a great host. She was very understanding, attentive, caring, friendly, and helpful. She gave us great restaurant suggestions which helped us narrow down our choices since there were quite a bit to choose from. The apartment was a great size with high ceilings in the bedroom. It was clean and cozy, and she provided extra touches that made it feel more like home. The air conditioner worked great, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. Having a full kitchen was also very helpful for our stay. We didn't end up using the terrace due to the weather being too hot, but it was very nice up there.

The house is spacious and comfortable, with books to read and a much appreciated room terrace for late evening drinks and morning breakfast. The mattress is very nice and so our nights have been relaxing. Sabrina is such a nice hostess speaking English and French (possibly other languages as well). the house has all is needed for a short stay.

The door handles and the lights in the hallway of the building were a bit confusing to learn how to use, but all was good after using the 1st time.

A word of caution for older/unfit guests such as me and my partner: There are stairs, two flights of them and a third for the terrace (two of them spiral). If you have mobility issues, be warned; otherwise, it is good exercise! The water pressure is low, but it does seem to be like this throughout Ortigia so it isn’t the apartment but the island.

Sabrina was a great host, and the apartment met all our needs. It is right in the historical area of Ortigia and there are amenities all around. It makes a good base to explore Sicily albeit parking can be expensive in a long stay (37.65 euros per 24-hour period using Easy Park app). The terrace is a nice place to unwind - weather permitting (we had rain several nights though everybody said how unusual that was).
