We loved everything about Hotel Antica Cascina del Golfo!

This was an incredible property and Giovanna was an accommodating and gracious hostess who added to the whole experience. Our 25- and 22-year old children travelled with us and enjoyed every bit as much as we did. The infinity overlooking the sea and back to Palermo created an amazing site. The gardens were beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast the next miorning was amazing. Giovanna recommended a great local restaurant for dinner. If you visit Scopello, you must visit the Zingaro Nature Preserve and hike to one of their beach coves for a swim. We wished we had planned a longer stay!

The curtains in the room let the sun light to come into the room which made me wake up quite early.

It would have been nice if the rooms had privacy curtains as well as black out curtains to let in light but not be able to see through.

This is just next to the centre of scopello which is a couple minutes up a dirt track. The stay is nice with great staff and a great breakfast.

The views from the pool and breakfast areas are amazing, very peaceful place to sit and relax. Hard to do it justice with photos. Our room was nice, bathroom area had recently been done up so showers were very good. Probabkly better to have a car for getting around, particularly in the dark. We had one and had read the reviews saying this so it was not a problem.

It would be even better if you could organise more of a restaurant style menu with variety to order throughout the day/night as they don’t allow us to bring in food.

The location is a bit off the beaten track. It takes around 15 minutes to walk down the drive to Scopello and around 20-25 back up the hill. A car is mandatory and there is a car park on-site and in Scopello (not free) for the restaurants there. We walked one evening, ensuring to bring a phone as a torch as there were no street lights along the path up the hill.

The host was super accommodating. We could order wine for the room via WhatsApp as we had been out. If you are after tranquility and no loud activities this is the right place to come. The breakfast was superb. Great views.

It is a bit of a rough road up to the property, but we’re in our 50’s and managed the walk in to Scopello every evening, took us about 15 minutes.

The price of the view is a very steep and rugged drive up to the property.

It’s all about the view. An instagrammer’s dream pool with dramatic Mediterranean views. A breakfast room sharing the same beautiful vistas. Comfortable bed, well appointed rooms delightful omnipresent owner/landlady.

To get to the place is up a very steep hill above Scopello. It’s only a few minutes but means you can’t easily walk into restaurants in town in evening. However, the hill brings with it incredible views so can’t complain!

Very good location for visiting Scopello. The view from the pool deck overlooking the surrounding area is amazing. Giovanna is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fairly simple but all tasty and with plenty of choice. Room 1 has not been refurbished so recently. Room 2 is more updated. Neither overlook the pool (our choice when we booked). Both rooms were clean and comfortable.

The hotel is located up a hill and is reached by a dusty road. You can walk to the village and beaches but next time we would rent a car for more options. The owner did offer to help us with car rental but we preferred not to this time.

Lovely small hotel, beautiful pool, friendly owners and great service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We asked for pool side drinks and for figs and watermelon. Would love to stay again.

It is up a steep hill so you can’t really walk to town but the views from the hotel make up for it.

Giovanna and her family were very welcoming and Giovanna went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She even brought our towels in when we were out and it started to rain. Breakfast was delicious and the room and pool were perfect. The views were amazing and we had a lovely stay.

The aircon was difficult to operate

Amazing faculties, the pool is amazing. The owner went above and beyond to assist our stay. The breakfast was delicious that was provided with a panoramic view.
