Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAnything I could have a ‘niggle’ about I can’t because it’s all relative of the price..any accommodation that is I third of the price of an old town located hotel has got to sacrifice something!.. mainly a 20-30 minute walk to the old town…although it is a very easy one and there is a bus stop right opposite the hotel that is very simple to use…for the money, it is well worth it…
Very Helpful staff, cheap price

United KingdomA real family feel to this hotel, service was excellent and the underground parking a pleasant surprise. Lovely rooms, a beautiful courtyard and breakfast was very nice. The location is a little out of the centre but the bus stop across the road made it easy to get in to all the sites in about 10 minutes.

BelgiumThe bathroom was a bit more old school. Namely the shower, which is foldable and the shower head could use an upgrade. One thing we didn’t like is that we reserved a parking spot, and had to give over the car key to the hotel. When we checked out it was evident the car had been moved. We had parked nose in, and when we left it was butt in. Entering a car and moving it should be discussed beforehand by the hotel.
The property was lovely. Most of the staff was kind. The rooms were big enough to fit three people comfortably. The sleeping quarters were great. We enjoyed our stay as we didn’t want to be right in the Center and this was about an 18 min walk to the center, which for us was ideal. We also brought our small dog which was not problem for the hotel. That was lovely!

United KingdomThe hotel was only 20 mins walk from Juliet’s House. We had a lovely large terrace which was great to sit out on drinking coffee in the mornings. A quiet place. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t want to spend too much on accommodation and this hotel was great value for money. We enjoyed a few Aperols and beers at the bar and in the courtyard which were served with complimentary nibbles. Wish we could have stayed longer.

United KingdomBathroom was a little small for someone 6ft+ but adequate. Doors may have been a little thicker to avoid noise from the corridor. Walk from the centre to the hotel should be done via the main roads and not be tempted along the river as the paths are a bit rough for dragging a suitcase (obviously not the hotels fault)
Small balcony facing away from the hospital, quiet location with bus stop outside.

United KingdomWe can't think of anything we do not like. The hotel was about a 25 minute walk from the city centre but there was a bus stop right outside the hotel so it was perfect.
Lovely hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome. The room was spacious and very clean with a comfortable bed, mini fridge and good WiFi. The bar and dining area were nicely decorated and a lovely place to relax, especially the jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious and had a good selection. We will definitely stay here again.

ItalyWeird thing to say, but I would advice changing the soap scent. By coincidence it was exactly the type of smell I avoid in perfumes. Maybe try something light, like fruity/flower smell. No biggie
The place was easy to reach taking the 21-22 bus with the stop right in front of the hotel, and 10 steps away from a market, pharmacy and pizza place. The hotel was right across from the hospital which was amazing since I was there for a surgery. Thanks to the bus stop, you can also easily reach the center of the city and the train station. The room was chill with a cozy soft blanket which was amazing in the heat of the summer (36c outside). Staff was also amazing and really helpful.
