I don't think anything could be improved on overall. It would have been good for the dinner time service to have been a bit later and for the restaurant to have been open on both evenings.

Parking can be challenging, back they've got few spaces at the back. If you are lucky you can aprk there.

We had a wonderful stay, the members of staff were kind and welcoming. The room was spacious, very clean and full of light. The breakfast was just perfect.

one thing I found hard was the walk up to the top floor, i have a medical condition with my back, so was a little hard for me, but I still enjoyed my stay.

The team of staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was very nice, as for the food was fantastic, I can't fault my experience.

There was very little private parking for such a good sized hotel. We had to park on the road which meant sometimes having to move the car twice to get onto the free, limited parking space. Also the parking was under trees which pigeons were roosting at night and covering our car in droppings which resulted in having to take the car to a car wash.

Great location for visiting York and the surrounding area.

Lovely location and the staff were very helpful. Booked last minute and this hotel was great for the price and close to the city centre. Have no complaints, it was comfortable, quiet and the breakfast was delicious.

Nothing really, although there are a lot of stairs up to some rooms.

We had a very nice bright room. It was warm and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has lovely gardens to the front. Lots of outdoor seating for good weather. A very good bar and lounges. A bus runs into York from the main road 2 mins walk from hotel. Also easily walkable into York centre.

Nothing I didn't like. Which is why Wheatlands is always my first for accommodation in York.

Wheatlands is always spotlessly clean and the desk staff give excellent service with a smile and always cannot do more to help if you ask for any. The breakfast that is included in the price is always of great quality and the staff in the restaurant are attentive, friendly and helpful. I really don't think you could find better for the price, nor get service like you do here at more expensive hotels.

A wonderful find. Such friendly staff and a lovely comfortable hotel. The evening meal was incredible value and delicious. Likewise the breakfast. The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel is very convenient for the city centre. I would definitely recommend Wheatlands Lodge and we will come again

Perfect location for our trip to explore York, about a 10 minute walk. Also close to local eateries within 10 minute walk. Great breakfast options to start off the day. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

There is nothing I disliked. I only found it hard to sleep on this occasion because of the things wall between my room and the next one where the people talked very loudly.

The feeling of home from home and the convenience of being close to the city’s facilities.
