The room was very hot being at the top of the hotel. Also there was very little parking. The shower did not have much power. It is a shame that there is no lift.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful I was given directions to places when I asked.

Heated towel rail in bathroom was very hot and made the room too hot, the week we stayed. Would have like ventilation in bathroom either an opening window or extractor fan. Being in a back bedroom, in hot weather with the windows open, meant we could hear deliveries etc from about 6:30am onwards. Having said this, none of them spoilt our stay and would stop us staying again or recommending the hotel to others.

Very good breakfasts- plenty of choice and excellent service. Room was clean and well supplied. Location is excellent- able to walk to all major venues including Minster, Railway Museum and York Castle Museum. All staff helpful and nothing too much trouble. We intend to visit York and stay here again before Christmas 2024.

More parking spaces would have been ideal, but appreciate this isn't an easy fix and it depends on land

Room was brilliant, very comfy and spacious with lots of electrical outlets. The breakfast was amazing too, very tasy and fast service!

Well cooked full English was lovely and nice menu to choose from ..Staff acertive and helpful even though busy ..Nice Bar and seating area inside and out to get night cap drink .This nice hotel is better than 2 stars I give it 4 stars.Good location from town and railway station close by

Easy walk into York. Very good heating in the rooms. Excellent restaurant for food & service. Limited parking but staff found places for everyone.

The place was beautiful. The staff were lovely, all of them. Maz was exceptional at her job. I had never been to York before so she was very helpful to guide us with the best places to sight see. The rooms were lovely and clean and the breakfast was also really nice Would definitely stay at Wheatlands Lodge Hotel again Parking may be an issue, due to limited Hotel parking, however they have a good relationship with the local school on the second alley behind the hotel, and you can park on the school grounds
