Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe room was a bit cold but this is typical for London anyway :)
The hotel is located in a nice place, very comfortable to reach to any destination you need. National Gallery is just around the corner. Good service, nice rooms.

United StatesElevators were not working for a few days which is difficult for seniors and staff not readily available to help either. We were on the 3 rd floor. Also no hot water for our last 2 days of our 10 day stay. Asked to speak to a manager and none was available but we were given an email and someone would get right back to us. Two emails and 7 days have passed and still no reply .
The location was perfect!

United KingdomNo nice areas to relax and have a drink. Just basic small bar and a few tables.
The location of this hotel is its winning feature. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Bathroom was tired and shower was a simple head with fierce jet. I expected a little more for the money I spent. Breakfast was nice, nothing special, although excellent mushrooms with thyme etc!

United KingdomWe booked a twin room for mother and adult daughter, what we got was a double, which was not ideal for us. Having said that the bed was huge so it did work out ok, but when you book a twin room months in advance, you sort of expect to get what you ordered, particularly when you could see there were 2 mattresses pushed together which could have easily been separated and made up accordingly. The bedroom window was open and the secondary glazing was 'sealed' so we were unable to get to the window to close it - ok for us temperature-wise on a warm day in May, however the external noise and wind howling through the small gaps in the secondary glazing at night meant our sleep was disturbed. The room was advertised with free toiletries, which was really only handwash and hair conditioner, the handwash was inadequate for washing my daughter's long hair properly but the conditioner was good. No tissues provided, which is a downside if you suffer from hayfever. Tea and coffee making facilities were adequate, although no hot chocolate on offer, we were given one bottle of sparkling water and one still, neither of us like sparkling so we had to share the still bottle between the 2 of us. Overall the breakfast offering was good, a good range of foods, although I would recommend serving the range of fruit in separate bowls then people can pick or avoid their individual choices.
The room was clean and comfortable, for us the location was perfect, so provided reasonable value for money.

United KingdomBreakfast menu was good. However, had an issue with the brown sauce being in a glass jar, not much room at the counter to sort onto the plate, so took the jar to the table, sachets would be more convenient to cater for our needs. The member of staff on duty did not seem to understand our accessibility situation and made, in my opinion, unsuitable comments to us in front of other guests which I did not appreciate, as this brought unwanted attention to our table. This made us feel uncomfortable at breakfast for the following 2 mornings of our stay.
Great location. Clean and comfortable stay.

LatviaThe value for the offered service was too high. Bed was narrow for 2 people to sleep 3 nights. In the pictures it was showed wider. In the description it was not mentioned the size of the bed. Elevator worked only one. VW you need to flash 3x to get everything away. Shower was weak.
Located close to the Trafalgar Square. Easy to reach from airport till Victoria station. Personell was helpful. Clean. Breakfast was classical UK, but there were also some other choices.
