We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe bathroom blind was broken. It did not pull all the way down, and as the toilet was in front of the window, it was embarrassing. I told the manager, but it still remained broken. The shower door was very stiff and hard to open, and the handle was starting to fall off. The seals looked mouldy and were discoloured. We were told the hotel was due for a refit soon, but we came last August, the hotel had issues then, and I was told the the hotel was going to have a refit then. And on the hotel room brochure, it stated that in the fridge were some old school treats which weren't there, I was told they had run out.? There's no full-length mirror in the room, just a small vanity mirror for an executive room! There were no bathroom robes in the wardrobe. We have been coming to this hotel for a few years and we noticed that what has been offered for breakfast has diminished each time ie, no yoghurt, pastries, fruit compote. The toast we given was one slice each.

United KingdomI can’t fault this wonderful hotel at all , my daughter and myself booked to stop here after a afternoon tea canal trip at skipton for my birthday. All I can say is wow what a truly wonderful hotel in such a quiet peaceful area , was no noise or traffic while we here at all apart from the beautiful sound of the birds singing. Our Room which was number 8 was spacious and bed was massive everything we needed was in the room down to bottles of water and milk in fridge as well as a tray with all that’s needed to enjoy a cuppa in your room biscuits went down a treat thank you , toiletries in bathroom where luxurious and smelt wonderful , the hotel was well looked after and spotless not a sign of dust anywhere. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and as for the Breakfast well it was wonderful was even offered a choice of what eggs did I want so I opted for a poached egg which was cooked to perfection. Was informed that If we came again the hotel would have had a massive makeover which I’m really shocked about because in my eyes the hotel was perfect . Will be intrigued to see how the new decor and makeover will look like but hope it doesn’t loose its old quaint character. Thank you The Wheatley arms for our fabulous stay . Will definitely stop here again if in this area .

United KingdomIf I have to be picky I can say that the breakfast, while plentiful, was somewhat greasy. Also the bed pillows were not as soft as I am used to. Bed was comfy but the hard pillows prevented a good night's sleep.
First time here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and efficient. Loved all the different sections for sitting.

It had character. There were small details that bigger chains miss, for example the tea and coffee facilities in the room in little jars, the bottle of mik in the ftidge, the tedfy bear., the sleep pillow spray. The food was excellent and the staff friendly.

It was in a nice quite street, the room was ready before check in time. Breakfast was lovely. The walking distance into town is about 30mins, we got a taxi back cost £5.
