I know not many places have it, and it would be impossible to include at this property, but on site parking would have been an advantage.

The building dates from the 18th century but the inside is modern and very clean and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. You need to book the restaurant for dinner but it’s well worth it, the food is excellent.

The fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter overhead. Stale urine smell in the bathroom. The strings for the blinds were hard to reach.

The outside of the hotel could do with a spruce up. Our bed - if you didn’t sleep towards the middle you felt as if you were going to fall off onto the floor.

The staff were all very friendly. From checking in to having a drink in the bar and then breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. The hotel was modern and rooms were clean and amenities in them were good.

Sadly the huge bed which at first had appeared so comfy was anything but, didn't get much if any sleep at all. Despite staying at a quiet time of year you could hear everything going on in the flat next to our room which added to our sleepless night. Was a little disappointed with the breakfast selection, although pleasant, I had expected a bit more for the price.

The room was gorgeous, truly more than i could have asked for with a spacious bathroom and living area, the huge bath in the bedroom was the star of the show. Close to many different restaurants, bars and all the attractions within whitby. A decent selection of complimentary items in the room and bathroom, the coffee pod machine in addition to the kettle was a nice bonus

It was a little difficult to locate. The entrances were either up Silver Street through the restaurant or Skinner Street through the main reception.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable (I think it may have been Memory Foam) and the food in the restaurant below was VERY tasty!

The lift didn't work for us on one occasion - seemed to be stuck on another floor. Otherwise no issues during our stay.

Standard rooms were a good size, staff were good at explaining the parking situation. It's great to be able to have a 10:30 check-out, allows a little extra time after breakfast. We enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

Nothing much to fault, the renovation makes you feel like everything is clean and new. I put do not disturb on when I was getting ready in my room then changed it to ‘please make up my room’ but when I returned in the evening my bed was not made or new towels but it’s not a big deal at all, just maybe good to know the staff only come round in the morning. Would stay there again for sure!

Reception staff were really friendly, the staff in the Vault restaurant were really accommodating when I hadn’t booked in for dinner but wanted to try it even though it was so busy. The morning staff at breakfast were great, very speedy service and delicious food. Great you accommodate vegans & veggies too

Not a ramp from the lift to the dining room . My brother in law had to go out side and back in to get to dining room and bar. Could do with a ramp down the Two steps to bar area (he was in a mobility scooter )

Our room was on the 3rd floor, we had an excellent view out of our window towards the abbey. Room was a bit tight I think it could have been designed a little better to give us more room. The shower room was very good.

Location was excellent, staff were lovely. The breakfasts were excellent and we also had a meal in the vault restaurant on both evenings, the food was excellent. There has been a lot of changes since we last came but it did not impact on our stay.
